The lady who served me and my friend today was absolutely lovely! It does look like the staff could use a few more people behind the scenes however. I will also sorely miss the atmosphere pickwicks used to have.

Excellent little tea and coffee house. Lovely courtyard round the back, overlooked by the glorious tower of a former church. The cream tea here was first rate and they brought the dog a bowl of water too.

Nice staff and food but we had four cooked breakfasts and had to wait half an hour for it ??

From Pickwicks
Housed in a building dating back to the 15th century and believed to have been the office of Thomas Wolsey's secretary, Pickwicks Coffee and Tea House occupies a truly unique position in Ipswich.
At Pickwicks we pride ourselves on a traditional approach to service where all of the tables are served by our friendly staff. Whether you fancy a leisurely lunch during a shopping trip or maybe just a quick coffee break from a busy day, Pickwicks is the perfect choice.
We currently stock over 40
varieties each of coffee and loose
leaf tea. These can be sampled
within the shop and then purchased from our merchant counter.
We also have outside seating available all year round set in the beautiful churchyard and shaded by ancient Yew trees.
