I love visiting Pets at Home in Ipswich. It has a great selection of bedding, food, toys, cages and all sorts of other stuff for cats, dogs, fish, hamsters etc. There are a few hamsters in store, and some small temperate and tropical fish. The staff know what they're doing, so you can ask them anything.

Don?t go near the ginger woman working here, she?s insane. I don?t know her name, but you'll instantly be able to recognise her when she starts talking. She?s got ginger hair and an extremely annoying hairstyle and voice. I can guarantee she?ll put you into a coma by the time she?s done talking. I asked her if I could buy a guinea pig?and that?s where it all started. She began non stop yapping about how male guinea pigs will kill each other..and yeah..she was talking about that for about an hour and kept repeating herself. She clearly had no experience with guinea pigs since she didn?t know what she was talking about. Whatever you do, just don?t ask her for advice. If she does start yapping, then just try to walk away but that might even be difficult. Stay safe everyone and avoid her!

Finding the customer service in this store very difficult..I have a poorly dog who has prescription food (I called them to find out about my order & had no help at all !however I spoke to them Martlesham store ware they located it with no trouble at all ..thanks Max at Martleshsm..and a thank you from Bella my dog

Helpful staff, although they never seem to have the pets on show in the cages. Hamsters are always out of cages so you can?t view them

Don't shop there they put live animals in the bins outside to be crushed in a dust cart so cruel and evil always adopt don't shop

Good stuff, lots of choice. My Lottie has a new bed that she loves, reasonably priced, only 4 stars because no staff available to help? although that?s usual in big stores of any type.
