2.45 Saturday clients asks for a load of bacon rolls Sunday morning, telephoned staff really understands, meat department supper helpful. In the door at 2.57 out at 3pm closing. Makro Ipswich literally saved the bacon today, for Waterbeach Community Market thanks so much ?

Makro Ipswich is a decent cash?n?carry. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
It stocks most food, drink and cleaning items that you could want in bulk sizes needed for businesses, schools and big families.
The only reason I gave it four stars is that it?s only cheaper than supermarkets on about 50% of items, especially if you are paying VAT.
I therefore recommend that you do your research and price compare when you walk round. Eg meat, rice, pasta, alcohol and tins were cheaper on our last visit, but cereals, crisps, sweets were more expensive.

Good place to buy bulk items. Some staff are so unfriendly and unhelpful. When we asked the woman on the floor to scan something for the price of an item. She couldn't be bothered But she was happy to talk to a friend who was shopping and even stop to show photos of kids from her phone.When paying at the till the woman with coloured hair was too impatient serving us and so abrupt. Being polite to customers was somehow amiss.

I've been buying my consumables for my business from Makro for the last 4+ years and have only ever found the staff friendly and helpful, especially Wendy. There is a good selection of goods but do check prices. Wendy we love you.
