If you are considering buying from John Lewis beware you are not buying a product from a 3rd party in our case Outback bbq.
The customer service was 3rd hand John Lewis took no responsibility for the sale.

Kevin the tech guy was so helpful sorting out my laptop, which was free of charge even though it took him well over an hour to rectify it. A very nice man , well done to you Kevin.

We purchased garden furniture from the Ipswich store, and just one week later it arrived with a damaged table. We immediately contacted customer service and provided photos, but after a frustrating delay, we were told the set was discontinued. Their solution? A £160 discount or a full return. That alone is unacceptable given the circumstances?but it gets worse.
We expressed clearly that we love the furniture and there?s no alternative we want. We even suggested that a £240 refund?given the damage and inconvenience?would be sufferable. Yet they?ve flatly refused, insisting £160 is ?more than enough.? That stance is insulting.
What?s especially aggravating is that we?ve spent substantial amounts of money with John Lewis?phones, laptops, and extras for our business?expecting service that reflects loyalty and trust. Instead, we?re treated with dismissiveness and rigidity.
After this experience, we will no longer be spending another penny with John Lewis. They?ve made it clear they value short-term savings over long-term customer relationships. Absolutely appalling.

Had to return a fan on Saturday that we only purchased on Wednesday because its performance did not match our expectations.
Served by Freya a young lady with a lovely personality and very professional in her approach to our complaint.
Freya is a credit to John Lewis and I?m sure she?ll attract other complimentary reviews before too long.

I visited the Ipswich store to buy a Mac Book Air and have my data transferred to it from my old one. I am quite elderly and not very savvy with technology so I was deeply worried about having to do this. I need not have been concerned at all as Kevin was an absolute star. He is not only clearly extremely knowledgable and efficient but also very personable, kind, understanding and helpful. Everything worked brilliantly and indeed I learned a lot. Kevin was very generous with his time and made sure I was entirely happy before I left. I cannot thank him enough. He is clearly a huge asset to John Lewis Ipswich.
I was also very impressed by Sally who came to help me when I first arrived. She was very customer aware and her prompt and courteous help was much appreciated.

Impossible to contact a local branch, no wonder business is down. I have dealt with JL a few times in the past but now it's not worth the bother such a pity, very poor customer service now.

We often visit this John Lewis but recently went in search of a new TV. The advice and support provided by John in the electronics department was exceptional and resulted in us making a purchase. John's customer service was friendly, supportive and knowledgeable, and gave us confidence that we had made the right choice. We are delighted with our new TV and thank John and the JL team for making this store such an excellent place to shop!
