“Have been with Orwell Fitness for a month now. I came with specific goals; from the trial session I knew this was the place for me. The staff are great and make you feel welcome and part of the community. What I love about this gym, is that each of the trainers want to get to know you, they make a point of learning your first name. They support you to get the best out of you. Always giving pointers on technique, alternative exercises if needs be. The classes have mixed abilities and cater for all needs, whatever your goals. Every session you are shown the moves you are going to do, so never feel left out, overwhelmed or out of place. Any egos are left at the door. A friendly community, I’d go as far as to say it feels more like a big family. Loving the journey.”

“Absolutely love it here, tried a few leisure centres over the years, but this one is the best yet, staff are lovely, everyone is so friendly. Made me feel very welcome.”
“I do an over 50's class on a Monday and a breath well class on a Thursday afternoon, and both classes are great if you suffer with copd and to just get out and meet people. Instructors in both classes are A++”

“This is a brilliant Gym! The atmosphere is great and always clean and tidy. The prices are very reasonable, especially with the amount of equipment on offer! This gym has personally helped me improve my fitness, in under 6 months of joining this gym I have lost over 3 stone and improved my muscle definition. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I would strongly recommend this gym if you are looking to join, even for more elite gym goers as there are lots of high level training equipment but also equipment for those with less experience.”
“By the numbers, since joining SSA back in 2019, I have:-lost 4 stone-increased my salary by 10K a year-And have been training consistently for 4 yearsSSA has given me not just a gym but a space to recover. I sought them out after I realised I had gone as far as I could on my own. I was looking for a gym that did weight training as that was my interest. However, I found a space that has helped me to recover, and develop. Without SSA I wouldn't have mentally been in a position to look for a better job and I certainly wouldn't have had the confidence to go for the job I did. I now love the job that I have. Although things are always going to be up and down SSA has given me a toolbox to better deal with situations and problems. I now have the confidence to go train on my own, at different gyms. This would have been unthinkable a couple of years ago, but now I have that "toolbox." It is expensive, but I'm worth investing in, and so are you.”
“Whilst I only went to see if I wanted to join, which I actually did, mainly because I was impressed with the member of staff who showed me around also there is plenty of equipment so you are unlikely to be waiting to use the equipment. Looking forward to starting my training”

“Been going there the last 3 weeks already. There are peak times when it can get busy especially during 12-1pm from what I saw.I just wish there were more body pump classes during the week.”
“The pool was very good and it was definitely worth the wait and the hot tub was very good as well as the steam room and sauna and a very merry christmas team you fit”
“I love my gym, it’s such a great community of people , staff are really friendly, I enjoy coming to the gym in my free time and I even book days off of work to come to the gym to have a me day, the Colchester one is a really lovely club too. I’ve never stuck to the gym as much as I have here. However, as of the past 5 months it’s been immensely difficult for me to go to the gym because of how busy it is I know this is nothing the staff can fix or help with but for how much you pay you should be able to go to the gym when you want and it not be so busy you can’t find parking or you have to result in parking on the curb. I have had to park in a side street and walk to the gym before just to go. I find it difficult to address this to anyone because it sounds ridiculous but when gym is your help for mental health and just to live a nice healthy life it is very hard to come to terms with how severely busy it is. It has caused me to think about potentially leaving David Lloyd’s and finding another leisure Centre. As i cannot come to the gym anymore than 2 times a week”
