Took my 7 year old daughter for an eye test because she was struggling to see the board at school. Peter scared her saying ?it?s a Thursday and on Thursdays I?m nasty?. He shone the light to examine her eyes and she naturally flinched away. He said ?every time you move I?m going to make it even brighter?. She then read the letters and was clearly struggling to differentiate some of them. He then sent her out the room alone, came right up close to me and said ?you know what I think when a child like that comes in here? It?s a cry for help. There?s nothing wrong with her eyes.? I was so shocked I just took her and left. She was shaking and crying for hours afterwards. She has now been diagnosed with Autism and Dyslexia. She is currently too frightened to allow another eye test from anyone. I have no idea what was going through Peter?s head that day and why he acted so aggressively and unprofessionally.

Very stressful experience. Peter & his staff are rude, with lack of empathy, when you have a problem. Myself & several family members, will be going elsewhere in future.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The Consultants provide a very thorough eye test and take their time with their patients. Great selection of frames.

Me and My Partner both had our eye tests today by Mr Patel. What a lovely guy and a true professional. He is the perfect example of an outstanding optician. He cares about his client's, is informative and clearly very passionate about his work. I will be recommending him to everyone I know. Thanks again. Ross

I have had my eyesight looked after by Peter Gerber for more than thirty years. He originally diagnosed my glaucoma and the fact that my eyes don't actually work together. Other (well known high St) opticians have prescribed glasses which make me ill. Not Peter. He has also, on a number of occasions, intervened when the, 'Glaucoma, community monitoring (private) Company',' (which the NHS farmed out to) have said they do not want to see me for six months, even though my eye pressure is 30!!!!!!!!!!. With no change of medication!!! Without Peter's constant vigilance, I truly believe my glaucoma would have damaged my optic nerve terribly. In my view, private companies would rather keep you on their books for the money, never mind your optical health!

Spotlessy clean, efficient and friendly staff. Mr Patel gave me the best eye test I have ever had, extremely personable and explained everything he was doing. Highly recommended!

I can't praise the care and professionalism provided by Peter Gerber and his team enough, With a challenging prescription as I have, they always go the extra mile to ensure I get the best vision possible with the health of my eyes always at the forefront. I would recommend this practice without hesitation.

I visited today for an eye test and just wanted to write a review to say how impressed I was with my care. From being greeted at the door with a friendly smile I felt listened to and looked after. In the past having had tests elsewhere and come away feeling like i was just a number in a production line of appointments, it was so refreshing to be able to talk to Pratik about the problems I have been having and feeling like I was listened to. My test was very thorough, I didn't feel rushed and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Thankyou .

Have used Peter Gerber as my optician for years.He is completely brilliant.The technician is so helpful too,very patient when I have taken ages to choose glasses and sorted them when I have damaged them.Receptionists are welcoming and helpful.
