DVR?s guys are amazing. Going above and beyond to help.Working with them for everything we needed in the last couple of years was the best decision.Best prices in Ipswich, never trying to overcharge or add unnecessary services to the bill, but always ensuring our car is safe and in good working condition.Lovely people to deal with.5 stars in not enough for DVR ?? I have recommended them to all my friends.Thank you! ?

Has management changed because they used to be so good. I had the same issue as some other ladies here. Took car in for service, repairs and MOT in November and had issue after issue since. Sorry to say after so many years I'm going to have to find somewhere else. They rarely answer the phone too.

I've been very disappointed with the service I have received on my car the past few months. it began with a small oil puddle which appeared on my oil tank as well as a coolant leak. I was reassured both of the problems were fixed, this being a water pipe leak and the seal around the head gasket being worn. Neither of the problems were fixed. I only noticed the oil was still leaking, which I went back to fix and was done at no extra charge. The coolant was a never-ending story, when having other problems with the car throughout the months I kept mentioning that the coolant was still leaking. It was checked over about 4 times and again I was reassured that it was fine, to keep the coolant topped up until it was eventually found that it was the thermostat housing that needed changing, costing me another £200. This was found after I had brought the car back in as my engine light had come on, this ended up being a catalytic converter sensor as well as an oil sensor. I was told that the sensor only needed recoding and that I needed an oil and filter change (which I had done only 4 months before this problem and it did not sit right with me to have to pay for it again). I was also told that because I had done the oil change myself and did not reset the oil change in the car's system the car did not know the oil had been changed, therefore I asked for the system to be reset as I was not convinced that I had to pay for an oil change. Now that I am having my Cambelt done at another garage, it has come to light that the oil leak is a much bigger problem, the seal isn't holding and so the pressure keeps fluctuating (possibly the oil warning that came up when they had plugged it into the computer 2 months ago) and that the car has a hole near the catalytic converter which needs parts and welding to fix, costing me another £300. I should also add that when I asked the garage about possibly getting my cambelt done and if I should have it done soon, after telling them the age of my car as well as mileage they looked shocked (as if I should know and should have got it done already) I think considering how many times the car has been in the garage, maybe it could have been suggested to me to look into getting it done. Also when I asked if I could book in to have my cambelt done with them they declined because of the type of car I have and the possible complications that can come with a cambelt change, I think that says a lot about the mechanics since they are unable to take on a job just to save themselves the hassle, or simply because they do not know how to do it. Essentially, none of the problems were ever resolved by DVR yet I still put well over £400 into the work.Update: The head gasket lid was cracked possibly from the first repair carried out, when I returned with the problem the solution was apparently to patch it up with silicone not even on the crack and my oil continued to leak for months. My headlight bulbs were in upside down since the start (before I had the car) I?ve struggled with the lights but didn?t think much of it but they were basically lighting up the road under my car and not ahead, yet this was not picked up on in my MOT as well as multiple clips and screws missing from around my engine also never mentioned or noticed after my many visits. My current mechanic is suspecting the coolant is still leaking after I?ve had the thermostat housing changed with DVR. I?m under the impression that because I?m a woman things can be patched up with silicone and charged for a full fix.

Where to start...Came to you in November for a simple enough, mechanical repair required for MOT retake. I don't know now if the fact that I didn't do the test with you (already had paid another garage but they couldn't repair so I came to you for that) had anything to do with how I was treated or you just did rubbish anyway.. First, you promise me repeatedly to have my car ready the following day and you call me late (as I'm already walking from rather far) that nope, the car won't be ready. Ok, I let that slide on the day, although that's rubbish customer service, a call takes a couple of minutes - I left my car first thing in the morning, it was not a major repair and I called midday to make sure I could pick up the car, I was still told the car would be ready, then walked for nothing and, well, of course, you didn't take any responsibility for the situation, wasting my time etc.Second, on the following day, when car was actually ready, when I mentioned I needed to take it for MOT retake to another garage I had already paid (but they weren't able to carry out the necessary repairs, hence I brought it to you and paid you well over £300 for something that I'm guessing took you less than an hour to fix), you, and I mean, the boss, told me that the fact that a check engine light came up on the dashboard in the meantime, would have no bearing on the MOT retake because it didn't come up originally, you assured me that personally and, of course, that was - as it seemed to me at the time - ridiculous explanation. I doubted that and asked repeatedly but you were so unwilling to do what I requested - pop my car on the computer and delete the error (which as it turned out later, when I had it done somewhere else, was connected to the repair you'd done because the light has not come back), that I left it, went to the garage I had the MOT retake to find out that the check engine light would fail me, regardless when it came up. No need to lie to your customers, it would've cost you 5 minutes to help me. I relied on your honesty and you took advantage of that.On top of everything else, I discovered some time later that you or whoever else in your garage dealt with my car, didn't put the engine cover back on properly, missed a couple of screws and so I was dragging it until someone let me know (I couldn't hear it with the windows up). Almost ruined it because you couldn't be bothered to make sure! Scathy job. I'm not happy with your work and the way I was treated.

I parked the car nearby, gave them the keys and told them what symptoms the car had, but they didn't even move the car, I found the car motionless and not solving the problem . They said that the car has nothing even though the car has several problems. I assured them that I will also request their MOT test when it is time for it to expire. ?My car is a KIA and you can search for the appointment by my name. I waited almost two weeks for the appointment and it was fitting that it was just before starting a new job. Your people said that the repair would take only one day to be repaired, but it took three days in which no one even called me to tell me anything, I had to rent a car to go to work . I went there to check if the car was ready after two days and it wasn't even moved from the parking lot, it was exactly in the same position in which I left it, then I came back after another day and the car was still motionless from the parking lot. I went to the reception and was told that the car only has a problem with the wheel (about I actually reported from the beginning )that is not worth repairing because it is too expensive and no one checked the other problems that I described about the noises from tires. But you can be sure that I will return with the car to you for the MOT test and it would be good to pass it with flying colors since the car is ok from your point of view.

Fast, honest and reasonable. Quoted over £500 elsewhere to get my car repaired, Deben found a perfectly serviceable used part and repaired it for under £200! Result!! Will certainly be returning and recommending. Thank you.

Lee and the team impress again.I needed a service on my Volvo V70 just before it's MOT was due, I asked if they could sort it all out and, just like that, the car was good to go and (thanks to their previous attention to detail) it walked through the MOT without issue. Then came the bill, "very sensible, very reasonable" is how I'd describe it.We live away from Ipswich now but us, and Mother-in-Law, still travel to the town specifically to use enjoy this customer-focused, high quality MOT, service and repair service. Thanks again Lee, you and your team are very much appreciated indeed.

Top notch bodywork service, and at a fair price - with others quoting up to twice the price! Car now looking as new despite having had a nasty crash. Highly recommended.
