So I just went to the store to look at a product. I saw one I wanted to purchase so I picked the boxed item up (loads in stock on the shelf) and went to the checkout area.I waited 10 to 15 mins as 3 members of staff wondered past without acknowledging me.When someone turned up he asked if I was OK, I said yes but a bit bored stood here for nearly 15 minutes. His reply was " well if you know anyone who wants a job here then we can't fulfill the positions either" I replied, "if you're struggling to fill the positions then maybe the pay is too low" he replied " well if you want to pay double for your item then that's what we should do"He then couldn't scan the product and called for help from the manager. She picked the item up and said " we can't sell you that" and walked off with the item. I said excuse me but it is all available on the shelf and is there anything else suitable for me instead. I explained to her the terrible customer service as all I want to do is purchase an item that is in stock and that is the fundamental basis of this business. She said " I'll have to take all these off the shelf as it's not on the system" I asked if a manager could find out more information, maybe contact head office and find out why it's on the shelf if it's not for sale. ' I am the manager" was her reply . I asked if I purchased it online for a collection would that help. She replied " we are stuck in between a rock and a hard place" I said I'm not because I can go to argos or amazon for exactly the same item. There was no attempt to find out why I couldn't purchase it and I would have been happy to have waited or to be contacted once it was resolved so I could purchase it.I've left the store empty handed, if curry's can't sell or resolve such a simple issue with a product in stock then what's the point of them being there. So off I went to Argos, same item 15 per cent cheaper.I'm also after a new cooker so I know one place I won't bother looking. You've lost a customer and ended up with this review for others. Plenty of places available to buy from it shouldn't have to be a battle.

I purchased an Asus computer from Currys Copdock in July 23. The computer lost the Internet connection in November and returned it to the store on 2/12. They couldn't repair it instore and sent it for repair. I have phone number on the repair docket for the repair company but they can't trace it. They cannot give me a number at the store to call as they use a short internal number and the store doesn't answer the phone. They have sent an email to the store for them to call me. They say I may have to wait 24 hours for the call back. This is supposedly a highly professional company, customer focused that you can trust.I'LL NEVER USE CURRYS AGAIN.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.Now a further 2 days has elapsed and no one has contacted me from Curry's so I called the repair number again. The same story. However this time they told me they use a different numbering system so they do not record the service docket number I have but use their own number so they cannot locate the computer using the service docket number. Another phone call to the store not answered, another email sent. But this time I'm told to wait 48 hours for a response.THIS COMPANY IS SO INCOMPETENT . HAVE THEY ANY CONCEPT OF WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANSAfter 9 days I went the Copdock Store. The same salesman as on 2/12 checked and the computer was with Asus from 8/12. The telephone number on the service Docket is for Currys service. If they had looked at the detail they should have realised it was with ASUS. There is apparently no landline at the store as no one is employed to answer it. Emails go to the Store Manager who still hasn't phoned me as requested.I have to give Asus 7 days to repair it (15/12) They said leave it until 18th If they haven't phone me I will have to drive there again (40 miles). At that time I can ask for a replacement. I will have to wait a further 4 days for vouchersUNBELIEVABLE THAT CURRYS CONSIDER THIS ACCEPTABLEI was contacted by Currys on 12th to say a courier had the repaired computer.I collected the repaired computer on 16th. Currys hadn't told me that received it for my collection, the manager never responded to the emails and called me.The computer was cleaned of all my data (I had backed the files and was warned this would happen. They have removed all the drivers etc. But it works.Currys customer service is an absolute disgrace

Incredibly rude staff. Visited the store to purchase a Christmas present, store not busy and staff just wandering around. I waiting patiently for a member of staff to be told I was in a queue and would be dealt with soon, fair enough! I waited again for another 15mins, still no one came just staff walking around not doing anything! The attitude of what appeared to be a senior member of staff was disgusting! Hopefully a news years resolution would be if you dont want to work in customer service get yourself another job!

I worked for Currys for a number of years and what a shambles this store is in! Drove 45mins to look at soundbars. None were switched on or could work. Gaps in display, prices missing and generally a mess. No staff on hand and we could overhear others fed up of waiting in the quing system. Gave up and left really annoyed.

It's OK service but I would say the staff are under trained in their technical knowledge.

Poor customer service. Knew what I wanted to buy before I went in but was advised by a unwelcoming person who was using a phone to book customers in that they would send someone over.15 minutes went, no one had been over so asked a member of staff who was on a computer if I would be quicker going to the till as I knew what I wanted, he said yes. After queuing for 10 minutes the next member of staff said as I didn't have the item I'd need to speak to a manager who will arrange for someone to collect it for me. I spoke with the manager who said they don't have stockroom staff so would need to wait for a customer service colleague to be allocated and said it would be roughly 10 minutes. 20 minutes came and went, no one came over so I left the store.1. Go back to having staff allocated to a section to help customers, rather than the farcical booking system2. Put stock on the shop floor so customers can self serve.3. Don't have 3 managers booking customers in, unnecessary and clear a function that's isn't working as well as reducing man power.I really didn't want to buy online again but this goes to show why so many people prefer to shop this way, which I've done for the vacuum cleaner I wanted to buy.Currys, sort it out!

Unfortunately I have to echo others? reviews here: I?ve never been to a place that has so many employees yet such slow customer service.I was collecting an online order which was easy enough to do from my phone once I got into the store. However, I was then waiting at least 15 minutes - not once did I receive an acknowledgment that someone would be with me shortly (other than one young female employee who did ask if I needed any help). When I did finally receive my order, I went to the tills as I wanted to purchase something else. Yet once again, I was stood waiting without any acknowledgment from any member of staff, despite there being 5 (!) members of staff on the till - 3 sorting out one customer with a repair, and 2 discussing something without any apology for making me wait. I gave up with my additional purchase in the end and went home.In future I think I?ll head to a different store if I need to buy something, or perhaps avoid Currys altogether since this experience has certainly soured my loyalty.

Poor service. We went in to purchase a laptop. We waited 30 minutes to have someone talk to us, only to be told they had no stock of the item we chose. We then picked something that could be paid for at the till. Only one operator behind the counter sorting out an issue with another customer and a lot of fed up people waiting in front and behind us. We left empty handed and purched our new laptop from JonhLewis. A much better experience.

Staff are and were amazing, one big BUT, out of the 8 items I wanted, they only had 1 item in stock, we had to settle for something else, and leave some to purchase elsewhere.Again, the staff are top notch

Complete uncapable staff. If you are lucky you will get someone who will be able to give you decent advice but only in rare cases. Manager Darren did not listen to our concern only jumped on the part straigh away which his employee said when running checks and also ignored the fact that his employee gave absolute wrong advice when purchasing! Oh and by the way 2 BRITISH people in front us got their devices replaced without thorough checks then a foreign family and us after them and for both of us proper checks have been done!! Coincidence?!?!? I wouldn't even give one star

What a poor excuse for a store! There are prices missing on many items on the shelf and no staff around to ask. When you do find one they shy away and avoid to make eye contact. I ended up chasing them through the store and then refused to help as they were not from that Isle. No reply on who ilcan help on that isle. Just rude.

The store is good and the advice given was good but you only get 2hrs parking and there's 4 different businesses including 2 eateries so WATCH OUT, I GOT A £60 FINE AND THE SHOPS DON'T CARE!!!!!!! A very tiny sign saying 2hrs and most places it's 3hrs so a big con!!!!!!!!!
