First time visiting Applaud, and as far as I am aware they have come under new management recently.
The food and service was lovely, but struck me as rather overpriced. I paid £8 for a sandwich, which was nice but served on its own with nothing else, and I think £5-6 would've been more reasonable. I also bought an orange juice, which was £4.30 for a very small glass. It was freshly squeezed, but still!
The staff were lovely and the café and outdoor seating area is beautiful, but I probably wouldn't return as I think the prices are just that bit too high. Such a shame as I always try to support small businesses!

I love this place. It's not very big but has a courtyard garden with more tables which is delightful on a sunny day.

Had the scrambled egg with smashed avocado on toasted bread. And also the porridge both were excellently done made to perfection and the orange juice was fresh. Nice ambiance outside seating. Lovely weather helped to.

Very nice staff, excellent quality coffee, and the baked goods are really great! I would say the best quality coffee in Ipswich. Definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. Seating inside and available outside in the back garden.
