We visited for my wife's birthday. Super friendly and attentive service... fantastic roast dinners, and the staff kindly facilitated bringing out a birthday cake that I'd brought with us.
Lovely outdoor garden area as well.
We'll definitely be back. 10/10

We visited at 6pm on a Saturday night for dinner. The very friendly staff told us they were fully booked but we could sit outside and there may be a bit of a wait. The snug outside was comfy and had heating, our food was served promptly, and it was delicious. Around £19 for the majority of mains, excellent quality ingredients very well cooked. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing meal tonight. The seafood platter for two was delicious and great value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and I would 100% recommend.

Over the last 10 years I have visited this pub several times during walks , about halfway usually for a pint just after my picnic.
Today, I with some friends visited again and bought drinks , crisps etc.
We sat in the rear beer garden on the glorious day as it was , as no-one else was outside.
We had gained permission to eat our sandwiches as long as we spent money there.
Unfortunately one of the bar staff came out and , and as far as I'm concerned was quite rude " instructing " that we couldn't eat on their premises !
We did spend money there... but.
It leaves quite an unpleasant feeling in one's self , when you are almost disciplined as being a customer...
I am doing this independently as it's the way I feel , my friends feel very similar but probably won't mention it.
There were 13 of us there , and we were all spoken too in the same way , collectively.
We have a choice of using this pub in the future, maybe for full on meals ,..... maybe not !

Would be 5 star but seemed a slow service!! Food very nice, staff very pleasant and knowledgeable of the dietary issues! A tad on the expensive side!
Dietary restrictions: Superb gluten free options!
Parking: Appeared to be ample parking for a Thursday night at the rear of the Inn.

Food is great, location is great, but service and restaurant temperature need work. There is not enough airflow and the main restaurant becomes too hot, even on a fresh day outside. In terms of service, after ordering drinks, we were asked to wait a 'couple of minutes as the kitchen was full of orders' while half of the restaurant was still empty. Other tables were instructed the same. After 20 minutes, we were finally able to order while the bar was taking food orders the whole time, which didn't make sense to us. Garden orders were sent out promptly while restaurant orders were sent to the back of the line. Not going back here...

Fantastic roast beef lunch. Portion size was huge. The beef was so tender and very tasty. Vegetables were perfect with a huge selection. Beers kept well.

Hadn't visited for some time. Found refurbished pub, with nice looking outside facilities, but....Drinks overpriced. Lack of vegetarian food.
