Staying in the area for a wedding, and the kings arms pub, was on the list of good pubs to try. There were five members in our party and we are all so glad we decided to take the advice and give it a try. From the moment we walked through the door we was all made to feel very welcome, staff even letting us know where and how far local shops were , as for the meals all five of us could not believe how nice and how much was on our plates, the steak pie was so, so nice, father in law had a steak and was also very, very impressed. Also told by other members of the family how good there chicken meals were, from chicken platers , which the lovely lady serving us changed slightly as one member of our group wasn?t so keen on spicy chicken , to my daughter having salt and pepper chicken and chips which she said was amazing. Also a very good beer list. Would recommend this lovely pub and its lovely staff to anyone who is looking for a lovely evening out.

Best Seabass I?ve ever had! I prefer fish to meat when eating out and I must say this place hit it out of the park. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food! Will definitely be back!

Disappointing that food was no longer available so early in the afternoon.

We popped in on a Saturday evening and were lucky to find a table that wasn?t booked.
Food was lovely, Ale was in peak form and the service was great. Highly recommended.

Food and drink service was good with little to no wait. Food portions were decent and good quality.
With any local village pub we found that the drinks were quite expensive, £19 for 2 adult drinks and one child.
Food was really nice, we do with they utlised their pizza oven and offer more events and advertise more for our village to come together more.

We were a smaller party that turned into a larger one, they were rather busy but the service could not be faulted, generous portion sizes, delicious food, brilliant range for Gluten Free. The child's menu had a great choice, was very generous and came with ice cream and drink for just £7.95

Lovely place to eat. We always come here as it's such a lovely place to eat. Never a long wait for food and always come out hot. Food portion sizes are huge. Desserts are lovely. Highly recommend honeycomb cheesecake or the sticky toffee pudding.I'd highly recommend

Highly recommend, we stopped here a few weeks ago on a Saturday evening as a family (5 of us) unannounced. Despite the fact they were very busy they managed to accommodate us, the staff were warm and friendly, the ambience in the restaurant bar was nice. The food was lovely, between us we had the sea bass, half a duck, haddock and chips and the chicken platter. If you are looking for a country style pub with good food, good beer and a warm welcome then this place gas to be a consideration, although I would recommend booking in advance. Just one thing to make people aware, there us a second bar area with a pool table and general seating, this didn't have any affect on our experience but I know some people on might see that and fear the worst. The landlord was friendly and has been in the industry for years having chatted to him, and both his wife and himself are chefs. Worth a try.

Since the pub was taken over again by Paul and Debbie, it is honestly one of the nicest pubs I?ve visited. Incredible food (especially the lasagna) friendly and very safe atmosphere. Pool table, darts and fruit machine. A great local family friendly pub!

Totally a ?Locals? pub. If you don?t live in the village then don?t bother. Was insulted by the local ?Big Man? who thought he was being funny and friendly, they have a juke box that is totally loaded by the locals, so no chance of hearing your tunes, just a Don?t Bother pub. Probably okay if you live next door and are friendly with the ?Big Man?
