Beautiful country pub with big garden & many benches

Rude staff, refused to sell us food and then complained when we bought some elsewhere for our children, despite having spent money on over priced drinks. I?ve been told the people at the Royal oak up the road are much nicer.

Absolute belter of a British pub! Fantastic selection of ales (most of which I've never tried!), friendly, banterful and attentive staff, as well as the most impressive burger I've had for a long time... enjoyed in the most perfect beer garden; a well-maintained lawn and plenty of tables. What else could 4 bloke ask for?! The perfect way to fill up before a drunken stroll back to the nearby campsite! Thanks to the owners and staff for a memorable trip!

This is now our third or forth stay, the rooms are clean, comfortable and beautifully laid out with everything needed for a couple of nights. It's a pretty village, and has some great walks. Everyone is always so friendly and the food is good, whats not to love. There's a taproom rather than a traditional bar here, meaning lots of beer and cider choices. They do pizza in the garden at the weekends too. Wonderfully dog friendly too.

Good food and a nice big garden with sun shades. I enjoyed the sea bass followed by cheesecake.

A stunning pub ? run by someone who seems to resent having guests
The King?s Head (Low House) is a visually striking, historic pub set in a postcard-perfect village. It should be everything that?s worth saving about Britain?s dwindling pub scene ? but it?s undermined by a landlady whose attitude borders on hostile.
From the moment we arrived, we were met with suspicion rather than welcome. Repeated warnings not to steal glasses (despite being overnight guests), drink orders treated like favours, and interactions laced with irritation. When a steamy shower triggered the fire alarm, we weren?t met with concern ? just blame.
Even our taxi driver, unprompted, remarked: ?Lovely pub, shame the landlady?s still there.?
This place could be magic ? if only it were run by someone who understood what hospitality means.
