Lovely day out, the staff were very helpful and friendly. It inspired us to join english heritage ?. Also the town is small and lovely, very friendly people, with a nice pub near the castle

Having visited Framlingham Castle, this was the obvious stop for lunch. First impression was of a classic country pub, and we were greeted by very friendly staff. I wasn't expecting the food to be more than average, but it was way beyond expectations. I had a burger, which was cooked to perfection. My husband had fish and chips and was happy to find that the batter was light and crispy. My youngest had a children's all day breakfast which he enjoyed and my oldest also had a burger.
We were well looked after and I hope to return on another visit to Suffolk.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Was driving through with my brood. Decided we were hungry and stopped by. The burgers here are great, food is properly cooked.
The staff are friendly and attentive without being annoying. The place might need little TLC. But on the whole it made for great lunch time.

6 of us had lunch after visiting the castle. The staff were all lovely and 5 meals were really nice.
I had the vegan burger which was just 2 pieces of vegan fillets. Very bland and tough to eat.
There are many good vegan burgers that you could provide.

Varied expirence to be fair , Tuesday last orders at 8,45 pm , fairly cheery staff.. Thursday quite a bit more miserable, didn't see anybody over the age of 30 or happy ? If your going to charge £6 a pint for
San Miguel in febuary.. a smiling thank you is a prerequisite .. co op is over the road.. !

We popped in for a mid-week sandwich which was very nice with a pint or 2 of excellent Adnams. Mark, Lorraine and Zeus the St Bernard were great company, a really lovely country pub right next to Framlingham Castle - well worth a visit ?

We have been visiting the pub regularly over the last few months. The new landlord Mark is doing a great job. The staff are all really friendly and the pub has a great atmosphere. There has been music on every weekend which has been fantastic and they have now started doing food. Me & my husband had a meal last week and it really was lovely. Would highly recommend giving them a try if you're nearby. Look forward to visiting again soon

Really enjoyed the live music yesterday. Friendly people. They have a quiz night on a Thursday. 7.45pm..

Most weekends they have something going on. Great in the summer ?? outside seating.
