We stayed for one night. The dinner and breakfast were superb and our room was very comfortable and spacious. I really recommend it for short stays. Had no complaints whatsoever.Food & drinks: The breakfast choices were excellent and tasted very fresh.Dinner was superb especially the beef shin and the monkfish.We thought it was great value for money.

Our first time at this restaurant, which is a great pity considering the amount of times we have passed it on the way to Norfolk. It is a charming place with excellent service and cooking. The set lunch menu was well balanced at a reasonable price making for a memorable meal, well worth a visit.

Nice Sunday roast, met by the barman, very helpful, polite ! Service was good, not intrusive. The barman even took time to show my son how to fold napkins????

An excellent evening for our large extended family group celebrating a 'significant' birthday. Superb food and excellent service throughout which was quite an achievement because, as often happens on such occasions, we had numbers changing close to the date. All of that was handled perfectly taking all the inevitable stress that being the organiser brings!

Posh nosh. Very nice but pricey. Limited menu. Not a burger & chips venue! Only take a woman here if she is 'well fit' or you're on some sort of promise ;)

Firstly the rooms need updating in places but worth the £120. Food is very over priced and small designer portions. Very average. Owner likes to talk things up but it's the quality of the food that talks. Positive nice cosy atmosphere. Don't go unless you want to pay lots and come out hungry.

Great location for a relaxed getaway, lovely picturesque setting. Food very pricey, value for money wasn?t there. New owners must still be getting settled in, little teething issues I would say. Decor in the restaurant is tatty, frayed/stained carpets, torn chairs, no where to enjoy pre dinner drinks. Kitchen / staff noise very off putting and tainted the ambience of the evening, laughter, chatter and mechanical noises not what you want to hear when paying top end money for a bite to eat. Found the Four Horseshoes offering to be better value for money and better all round. Won?t be in a hurry to return, a shame.
