Disappointing selection of cakes. Cheese scones were on the dry side - might have been better served warm.

A lovely cafe in a beautiful spot with bifold doors open to the water. However it was a sunny day and all the diners inside and outside were plagued by wasps. They were such a problem my husband and I had to abandon our meal half eaten and beat a retreat. The cakes looked amazing and we were assured that they were baked on site ?ut I didn't dare have anything sweet! Look forward to another visit in the future outside of wasp season.

It's a nice place but there are hundreds of wasps everywhere, if you have anything sweet with you it will get swarmed before you know

Beautiful location and we had a super riverside walk from Dedham. Joined queue for tea rooms and waited 20 minutes to be served. Waited another 20 minutes for our food to arrive - ploughman?s lunches. We had to leave most of it as on arrival the wasps appeared. Not just one or two. They were all over it.

Amazing cafe serving food and drinks, in an ideal location next to the River Stour with inside and outside seating. The cafe has large bifold doors enabling to enjoy the unrestricted view and atmosphere of the river.Staff were friendly and service was good. The area itself from the Mill to Willy LottsCottage is picture perfect and steeped in the history of Constables paintings. Recommended.

Been here many times in past. A lovely spot for lunch. A little overpriced on top of £5 car parking fee also. Walking paths need to be cut back along the river. Some parts very overgrown.

Was shocked to be served by a lady who was quite unpleasant, and found it hard to be curteous to us, never mind even a smile. It was exactly 2pm on Tuesday 13th June and we were told abruptly that there were no baked potatoes left, no tuna and no wedges. No apology. So we left very annoyed at their attitude.

Nice cafe at Flatford Mill. Very good coffee and cakes. Plenty of seating, some outside. Toilets in another building just up the road. Happily use again.

Lovely baked potato with cheese & salad today at Flatford Mill NationalTrust Tea Room, wasn?t impressed at first but the coleslaw was super creamy & tasted fresh & the cheese & potato was full of flavour ! Perfect with a freshly made Iced Latte on a hot day. They have expanded the garden too so lots of places to sit.

A great little cafe in beautiful Constable Country. Staff are friendly and welcoming and food always good. Good outdoor seating under the trees for warm summer days. A great place for a relaxing lunch?

The National Trust have retained the original site very well as can be seen when comparing Constables paintings against how it looks now. Plenty of outdoor seating to eat food bought in the cafe and the usual NT shop. Plenty of car parking space (£5 for non members) and footpaths along the river side. Boat trips every half an hour and boats for hire. Very busy on weekends and school holidays, so be warned. A pleasant place to spend a half day when the weather is fine.
