If I could give it zero I would. When i registered at the practice I had high hopes, it looked and felt like a good practice to be under. How wrong was I? The Pharmacy is diabolical, who runs that? Communications are poor with over an hour wait on the phone, when you do put notes on the prescriptions when doing the repeats they cant be bothered to read it. Which means yet another call, another wait for "The computer says no".. I swear that Little Britain Skit was based on the Health Center.I have read through other reviews going back over a year with others reporting similar experiences, seems all at Woolpit Health Center are not going to improve the service so I will be moving in the new yearVery poor from the NHS, which is funded by us...

The phone line is set to force you into the ?e-consult? route - where they simply do not call back. That said, when you do get through to a GP they are very good and helpful.

Pre Covid I would say I couldn?t fault the place. Post Covid it?s fallen to bits, I haven?t seen the same doctor in 2 yrs, I have had agonizing back pain for years chucking pills at me obviously wasn?t working but no further diagnostic where suggested. I?ve had to go private to get to the bottom of it. MRI and exploratory injections done within 2 months, was given a 6 month waiting slot for the NHS . With the option of it may be cancelled due to strike action, my jobs on the line now due to absence. Not good enough all round and don?t get me started on the pharmacy waiting times

E-consult has made seeing a GP easier when required and the service is always appropriate and efficient. However, getting a prescription from the pharmacy is nothing short of a nightmare. Horrendous queues and very slow service. It appears incredibly disorganised and has done for some time now. I see this is a common complaint from many others, perhaps practice management should consider making some changes.

Shocking. Twice now they've changed or stopped medications Ive been on for over15years & that I cannot function without, for no reason and not told me, so I've had to call and wait for hours for someone to answer and go through the palaver of getting things back how they were. Unacceptable not only is this neglect but it causes severe panic attacks.Pharmacy, - My husband spends hours there bless him and after working a full day, there is no good time to go and I always feel so bad. I don't understand whats so hard especially with repeats, there should be a queue for repeat prescription and a queue for acute (just prescribed). This way all repeats for that day can be lined up and it would take 60 secs max for a person to get their medication because they give you a note telling you it will be ready that day, so it should be ready and waiting. Worst surgery ever

How many more complaints about this shambles of a Pharmacy have to happen before there is significant change?. Yesterday, I waited an hour and 20 minutes for my repeat prescription. It was overdue yet again. I had received no text and run out of medication. I was advised that texting had been 'suspended' due to a lack of staff, this seemed to be the case for the machine codes too. It's an absolute mess, somebody needs to get a grip on it and resolve the issues that have plagued the service for most of the year. I feel sorry for the staff who are constantly apologising and coming under fire, it's very unfair on them and the patients.

Can anywhere be more chaotic and inept as this Pharmacy. The systems in place really are beyond a joke and unacceptable in every way possible. As a diabetic I require regular medication so I set up a standing repeat prescription order as I need the exact same items every 4 weeks. You can count on one hand the number of times my prescription has either been ready on time or actually contains all the medication that I require. Either items are "owed" and I have to return in a few days or items are missing completely!I tried in the past switching to the Elmswell pharmacy but quickly found out that the prescription is still filled at Woolpit and that Elmswell is just a different collection point. The same late availability and and random missing items still occurred.I have just returned from collecting my latest repeat, two days after it was supposed to be ready. After standing in a queue for 25 minutes and the poor lady serving me spending another 10 trying to locate it she tells me she cannot find it!Another 15 minutes waiting for the prescription to be filled on the spot, I get home to find that an item isn't in the bag. What a surprise!! Oh well I suppose I can go without my insulin for now!I've learned to check the contents before leaving usually but it is so busy there and the queue is so long that at times I feel pressured. I'll accept some responsibility on this occasion but I did expect all items to be there as it was processed whilst I waited.I feel extremely sorry for the staff. The ladies serving really are doing their best and most try to do it with a smile. I could not work there myself. Ever! The entire system is inept, poorly constructed and implemented. The lowest score I could give was one star. If the option was there for zero or even a minus I would have used it.Seriously do yourself a favour and use a different pharmacy, even if it's miles away!

It is a lovely practice with some brilliant doctors. The pharmacy is full of lovely staff as well, but it is chaotic. Each time, it takes 20 minutes to queue and 30 minutes for a staff member to find my items. There must be a better system. Every time I request medication via the app, I put a note that I would like to collect from the medipoint outside, but it is always ignored. Please can a better system be implemented to help the pharmacy staff? I feel sorry for them!

Dreadful. I transferred my care to this practice 8 months ago and wish i hadn?t as they do all they possibly can to avoid a face to face consultation. econsult is a headache and i have just spent an hour and 10 minutes queuing on the phone to change an appointment made for me in the back of an econsult. I could have driven from Beyton to Ipswich and back in the time it took to answer my call. On talking to other patients at the health centre this is a fairly standard call waiting time. They do not use electronic prescribing either. All in all a very poor front of house that leaves me very frustrated

Hmmm econsul-had a query about a set of vaccinations and no one got back to me. Not quick to fill in and very long winded. They obviously don?t want you to phone in any more as they are very unhelpful when you do.Agree with the system but there must be simpler?ask my GP? routes. Wonder what happens if you aren?t computer savvy- guess you get a third rate service.

A great surgery, very busy with all the new builds going on around the village, but still have a high standard of care and professionalism.

My experience of the staff in the dispensary is that they are very helpful and doing their best in what seems to be a disorganised system. When picking up prescriptions, I leave an hour to do so. This is way too long. Staff often can?t find scripts or owings. I would have thought so better systems in place would make everyone?s life easier. I have worked in a dispensary where we wouldn?t expect anyone to wait over 10 minutes.

Terrible organisation means expect to wait close to an hour from joining the queue to getting your meds.Shame that the duty doc makes you go here as I gave up on them for regular meds a very very long time ago

Absolutely shockingly rude response from whoever answered my call. As a mother calling about her adult son whom has a serious condition and had a very dangerous episode, too be asked in the rudest way ?why can?t your son call? followed by ?why can?t his partner call? it felt like I was absolutely doing the wrong thing! Also what does it matter who calls when someone is in serious medical situation . I hope someone is more compassionate to you if you were in this situation! Awful lady.

Woolpit surgery offers an appalling service especially when it comes to answering calls. With my most recent experience, I was told I was no. 3 in the queue - it took 40 minutes before a 'trained, skilled navigator' answered my call. How many hours training do these people have? I doubt I will get an answer, other than the usual platitudes from a team of doctors whose average salary is well over £100,000 a year. The only way to improve your service is to employ more receptionists, and to have proactive doctors who are willing to come out from hiding behind their desks to see people.
