Was told to book as really busy, turned up and hardly any customers, guess they needed to capture whoever came along.
Food was good although a gluten free option meant that something was removed from the dish rather than replaced with a suitable alternative which given the price I would have expected.
Beer was good

Unbelievable.Appears to be run by a bunch of clowns.Arrived early to have a couple of drinks before a meal, chose an outdoor table, with ashtray, due to smokers in the party only to be asked not to smoke as someone inside had objected. On looking through window, nobody was there! Attempted to order meals to be informed that we couldn't as we would 'muck up' kitchen timing by being early!Had to have 3 different beers due to faults with coolers but who drinks mango lager? Settled for fish for main course,God knows what it was, over cooked and very salty with luke warm chips and black (burnt) peas, partly hidden by a teaspoon of tartare sauce.I gave up, paid (no tip) and left.

The service at this place was great, I was so impressed! The outdoor patio was a fantastic spot to chill and enjoy the weather. Everything I ordered was delicious. Definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already!

It is the first time we had come for food, although have been for drinks outside several times, as it is a really pretty set up.
My wife decided to book for Father?s Day, I assumed it would be the Sunday menu and the children?s menu running. She booked under her name for 12 midday for a table of 4.
When we went to order I asked if we may have a children?s menu and was told that doesn?t run on a Sunday, but that the children could have a smaller portion of a roast or the fish & chips. Unfortunately this isn?t something either of the children would eat, so said they would both just order chips. The waitress was helpful and went and spoke to the chef and asked if he could do sausages to which he said yes, so we appreciated that.
My wife them asked if I could have the roast but with sausages as she doesn?t eat the other meat, she again went and checked and said yes, but made quite a big deal out of it, I was made to feel really awkward, although if he was popping some sausages on for the kids I didn?t think it would really be massive issue to cook them for 3 people.
We then got the food, the waitress asked if we would like any sauces and went and got us a couple of pots of ketchup. That was the last we saw of anybody until about 20 minutes after we had finished eating. We only saw 2 staff on shift, so assume they were busy serving other tables. Although the bit that we were in at the time wasn?t particularly busy.
When the waitress came to clear our table, she said have you finished and would you like to see the desert menu. I said we actually had a bit of an issue with some of the food and explained.
She said she would tell the kitchen. She then came back over and said that they are sorry, but we should have told her when she came to ask if our food was ok and not eaten it.
As it was Father?s day we just said ok can we just have the bill please, as it was clear she wasn?t going to be overly helpful in this situation and had a bit of attitude.
To explain more so you are aware of the issues we experienced ?
The roast dinner ? the carrot & parsnips & broccoli were rock hard, my wife ate the 1 carrot and 1 of the parsnips because there was nobody to flag down to speak to to get it rectified and as it was father?s Day we wanted to eat as a family. The Yorkshire pudding was burnt, my wife ate about half of this by eating around the burnt areas.
The Kids meals ? We do appreciate that the sausages were cooked for us. However the portions for £9 consisted of 1 sausage and a handful of McCain?s oven fries. Our kids left the restaurant hungry and I didn?t feel like this was a fair sized portion.
In regards to telling someone, nobody came to ask if our food was all ok, otherwise we would have mentioned it. We also would have liked more drinks, but as nobody came over we didn?t order any, we could have walked to the bar I know, but were eating.
As we haven?t been before for food, I am unsure if this is the usual standard, or whether we just unlucky on this occasion. We didn?t feel like we had any reassurance from the waitress that this is a highly unusual occurrence and were made to feel like we were trying it on to be honest.
We eat out regularly at various places and don?t usually have these kind of issues, whilst we understand that these things do happen and everybody is only human, it?s how things are dealt with after that can make people want to return and try again or make them decide to avoid.
This may be how things are here, or we may have been unlucky, but I wanted to bring it to your attention, because it may be that lots of other people brought it to the attention of the waitress about the roasts on that day.
I will attach a photo of the children?s meals received, because again it may look different to what it should, or you may see all is correct.
My wife has emailed the booking email 3 times asking for the managers email but hasn?t had a reply, hence why I am now posting it on your social media.

Try to support the local pub but it?s almost impossible as whatever time you ring of an evening they have just closed the kitchen despite the website saying otherwise.
