Went into this shop because it said ?SALE? in the window. I found 3 things I liked and the very helpful shop assistant put the items in a changing room as I found them. We were offered, and accepted, a cup of coffee which even came with a biscuit. I tried on the 3 items and ended up buying all three as they were lovely. Never done that before; found things I liked the look of, tried on and bought. Normally one has to look for different sizes, or whatever. It was a delightful shopping experience as the items were beautifully wrapped in tissue paper, and the two cashmere items even came in their own ziplock bags, as I keep them at home. I shall certainly be visiting Olivia Benn every time I go to Bury, now.

I have never written a review on Google before however the attitude and demeanour from the male member of staff at Olivia Benn in Bury St Edmunds compelled me to do so!From the moment we entered the store he was incredibly over bearing and rude. The elderly person I was with was trying on a number of dresses and so, to assist her in trying the dresses on numerous times, I suggested to take a photo of her in each garment so that we could look at the dresses afterwards and decide which one she liked best. This was questioned in a rude manner almost immediately. Then, he tried to force her to wear something that she did not feel comfortable at all wearing. This was to the extent that I had to tell him no! I have never known any sales assistant to be so pushy. His salesmanship appeared desperate and was completely off putting; jeopardising the sale.We have attended the store in similar circumstances and had no option to return due to the lack of occasion wear for the older women in the area. Whilst we have had a similar experience before, this was by far the worst. I can honestly say that this is some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. We will not be returning.By comparison, the lady who worked in the store alongside this gentleman was wonderful.

I am so sorry to read of Emma Perrier's experience in my shop and can only apologise if I was considered overbearing. There are always two sides to every story of course.

One of the best boutique ladies shops in Bury, Olivia Benn has been a stalwart of the shopping scene in the town for decades. There's a reason why this shop has stood the test of time; the staff are always friendly and helpful and the clothes on offer are always carefully chosen, chic and stylish. Geoff and his team provide a sublime shopping experience, offering a customer-first service, that is sadly dying out now on our highstreets.
