It sells chocolate, I'm not really sure what else I need to review. It's nice but overly priced. It's the sort of chocolate you'd get someone as a thank you or to gey as a sorry to get yourself out the doghouse. The staff are nice and attentive.

Went for the hot chocolate, got the standard ?milky? (made with milk chocolate) and it was delicious. Add the cocoa whip, it was amazing. Purchased a pack of batons and the Everything Pocket Selection with pieces such as praline and raspberry. The chocolate is very high-quality and decadent. Less sweet than what you?d buy in the grocery store with a rich cacao flavor. Prices are a little higher but the quality is worth it, plus if you sign up for the rewards card you save 20% on all drinks from the cafe!

Went in to buy some gifts and was looked after by Lorcan. Whilst I expected a high level of customer service from Hotel Chocolat, Lorcan went over and above. A real credit to the company, thank you!

Went to hotel chocolat bury St Edmunds with my friends for a hot chocolate, my friend asked the man at the counter f you do white hot chocolate, to which he shortly replied 'look at the board'This to me is rude and poor customer service.To me a reply like'yes we do, what size would you like' is more reasonable.Maybe hotel chocolat need to check that their employees are happy. I cannot understand why would said person work in the retail industry if he doesn't like being asked a simple question.If someone asks if you do white chocolate hot chocolate they are pretty much saying that's what they want if you have it

My wife and I decided to go try a coffee somewhere different, why not!, my wife went for a no thrills hot chocolate, I said to the pleasant assistant that a sprinkle of chocolate on top would be nice. I went for a flat white , we also ordered a slice of chocolate brownie.The brownie was brought to the table closely followed by the drinks, the brownie was superb, sadly the drinks weren't, the hot chocolate was week and wan and no chocolate was sprinkled at all, I was an Americano man but lately I've been hooked on flat white coffees but alas the one i had today at hotel chocolat was miserable, no flavour at all, hot milk in a used coffee cup springs to mind. All for just shy of £11. What a shame!!.

I?ve heard from a couple of people now about the velvetiser and so I thought I would go and have a look at them. My Mum said she had recently visited the Plymouth store and had a great experience where she was given so much information and a sample to try?off the back of this, she joined the VIP club and purchased it there and then. The experience my partner and I received was very different, we were left to have a look at the machines and the store assistant smiled a couple of times. I saw a sign say ?Please ask a member of staff for a sample?, so I did so and I was told ?We have a cafe there with them in?. We were left again and I decided to walk out, I only wanted to try a sample to see what it was like, I didn?t want to have to buy a hot chocolate as I had just been for lunch and didn?t want another big hot drink. Safe to say, I left and didn?t purchase one.

Good but expensive chocolate. Bad experience with ice-cream sundae, machine obviously not freezing properly.

I went in on Saturday for a coffee and a few bottles of gin and was not impressed with the level of service.Whatever town I am in, I usually pop in to hotel chocolate because it?s nice coffee and a friendly service. However I felt the team in bury were quite short and snappy and the flat white I bought was almost anaemic so when I asked them about it as it tasted like hot milk I was told ?I pressed the regular button?, ?they have changed there blend? and ?next time ask for a large shot?.These are terrible excuses all that should have been said is an apology and let me make you another.Unfortunately in the service industry you have to listen and apologise and get it right for the customer, I will now think twice before coming in again especially as there are many good independents opening up all over the place.
