Web site was 'confusing'. It gave me either Suffolk Park or Thetford as my nearest Halfords. Suffolk is a large county. No clue that this was Ipswich. The second choice was Thetford, 29 miles away. How about Bury St Edmunds at 13 miles away? This is my favoured location.So I ordered and paid for the part, a track-rod end for a Fiesta and was informed that it would be ready in a hour. At about 15.00 hrs, (5 hrs later) I went to the Bury store. There was a long queue at the desk...about 5 customers. The first and second customers needed extensive help with their purchases. So it was a long wait with only 1 assistant on duty. Eventually when it was my turn, I handed my order confirmation and the search started in the nearby cupboard. It was searched and searched without success. It was searched again and I offered the confirmation information on my phone but still no success. Since I had to get my wife to the hospital for an appointment, and in all probability the order had not gone through, I offered to just go elsewhere and nullify the transaction. This obviously stimulated extra attention and another sales assistant suddenly found my track-rod end. It was on the counter all the time.What a total 'pfaff' and total waste of time. Click and collect is supposed to speed up the whole ordering and collection process.Then to add to the 'pfaff' I received a text message at 15.30 informing me that the track-rod end was available for collection. WOW so much for the 'ready in an hour'.Come on Halfords...You should be doing better than this.

Needed a couple bits repaired on my bike, so I arranged a bike assessment and received a phone call a few hours after I'd dropped it off advising me on costs. I agreed to the costs and got another call later letting me know everything was complete and my bike was ready to collect. When I arrived I was greeted by staff. I picked up a few extra items and then was served quickly by a friendly member of staff. All in all a good experience ?

Ordered an item online. Store handed my item to another shopper without checking ID! Had to reorder. Delayed item 5 days and wasted a trip for the collection. Sharpen-up Halfords!Update: good response from customer care team. Replacement item supplied. Branch manager called to confirm ready for collection, which is good service and appreciated. Branch is, in my opinion, under manned which causes delays and mistakes. Something their management should address IMHO. Upgraded rating from 2* to 3*

Very good experience at the Bury St Edmunds branch - dipped xenon headlamp bulbs replaced by expert technician a few minutes on very difficult to access units.

I was busy to collect and gone to store to collect after 2 weeks, the store lost my ordered item and they had it collected on the system although it wasnt. It was then outstock as well.

I pre booked an appointment at 12:30pm for a windscreen chip repair. I had picked up the previous afternoon. Which online advised would be a 30 minute appointment.I arrived 15 minutes early to be told they were ?running. A little late ? .Site parking was so bad I was advised to park in a disabled bay.They took my keys and told me they would call me when it was ready.I returned just after 1:10pm to be told they hadn?t even started my repair yet.I was handed back my keys and told the current repair was just finishing and that I could pop my car in The repair bay. I handed the ?tech? my keys and told him I would wait inside. At 1:35 PM I saw the ?tech? working on another car so I asked another member of staff if my car was finished as no one had told or called me as previously promised.He went and checked and I was told it was ready I finally left 40 minutes later than the appointment should have finished.Poor communication and customer service.The chip in the screen is still visible albeit ?filled? .Customers vehicle keys are left in an insecure drawer in a location that I saw was left unattended by staff whilst I was waiting in the storeReally defeated the point of making an appointment in advance if they are not going to keep to them.

I had booked an appointment this morning to get a battery replaced, but I couldn't get the car to BSE. I got a lift and Aaron was extremely helpful, sourced the correct battery as I would take it away and fit and cancelled my appt. Good man and the sort of staff member you want to hold on to.

Restored my faith in Halfords.There?s a guy working at this store, Jason, who has restored my faith in Halfords. I hadn?t been to Halfords for years due to previous bad experience (not at this store) but it was late on a Friday and I was near Bury and didn?t know where else to go.Jason was excellent. He is passionate about bikes, offered excellent advice and tips. Was knowledgeable about what needed to be done and generally did a great service.
