Went for a family lunch, while visiting my dad who lives nearby.
A real traditional pub, serving delicious home cooked dishes.
Service was warm, friendly and prompt.
It was quite busy, proving it's popularity.
I would highly recommend.

Jolly old fashioned pub. Good selection of real ales and pub food with hearty portions.

Sunday 06th March, pub had done over 100 covers, Sunday roast dinner. £12.50 for Beef, with copious amounts of veg etc. Smaller size available for £7.95. Gravy was the key to enjoyment. Enough time to enjoy homemade desserts, in my case 'Spotted Dick', to die for!!
Keith, the restaurant manager and the lovely Sharon, (chef), couldn't do enough for our table of 3. Don't recall a better lunchtimeal ...until next time - best wishes. Keith .

Excellent Sunday lunch for £12. The roast beef was really tender and the vegtables were freshly cooked. Wide range of ales on offer also. Sunday roast is only servered between 12 & 2 so make sure you get there early to grab a table, you won't be disappointed. No need to book - just turn up find a table and order at the bar.

As far as places-what-I-have-driven -past-and google-got-excited goes, this is right up there. I have driven past this place from various directions, and every time is a joy. I look forward to driving past again. I hear they sell food 'n that, might even go in one day, once I have finished driving past.

Excellent plain pub grub, brilliant range of beers, good atmosphere. No airs & graces here, just very good value for money. Recommended for people who don't want fancy worded menus. Also they serve salad garnish WITHOUT that dreadful sweet sticky stuff.
Parking: Parking outside pub in forecourt, also plenty of on street parking opposite.
