We have just returned home from our holiday at Center Parcs. Yet again we had the best family time, lovely lodge, amazing swimming pool with so much for all ages. My son particularly liked the flumes and slides. Off road explorers was fabulous again, mini jet skis was fab and the lifeguard running it was so fun and interactive. We had the best time, cannot recommend it enough.

Bedrooms could be betterRooms: Twin room wardrobes would be better with sliding doors as beds are in front and can't open the door

It's not cheap, but everyone had a wonderful time. Always something different to do for all ages.Nearby activities: Everything from a gentle stroll to loads of high octane activities for all ages. Fishing through to boating. All sports with excellent facilities.

The Lodge we had was placed close to the facilities so able to walk to most things. It was very quiet set in the middle of the forrest. A wrist band enabled you to enter the Lodge and the Lockers at the swimming pool. The local wildlife were very interested in us as I think they thought we were caged in. The Canadian Geese came and knocked on the window for food, the Monkjacks also came calling. But my granddaughter thought the squirrels were the best entainment. You could hire bicycles if you were further out.Rooms: The Lodge was very comfortable and the one we were in accommodates four adults.Nearby activities: The Tropical Swimming Pool was very popular as the rock climbing and badminton etc etc.

Stay away and try somewhere else. We have been going to CP for over 30 years but in the light of our last experience we will not be going back. Eleveden has a rat and and ant issue. On arrival we saw two large rats running around the bins. On entering the lodge the floor of the kitchen was covered in ants. The cleaner would have seen them but no attempt to address the problem had been made. We also found that the TV remote and Wi Fi were not working. Small things but annoying still. We reported the ants and someone came along to lay poison. It was not effective straight away and ants in the cupboards and other parts of the kitchen persisted. No offer was made to switch us to alternate accommodation. On a more general note we found all the restaurants on site have increased their prices considerably ( far in excess of London prices) as well as making the portion sizes small. We paid over £900 for three nights just for ant infested accommodation. Upon reflection we would have been better off checking into a five star hotel in London. Value for money at CP is very poor. It?s overpriced in every area of its operation. It?s a shame as initially the business model was good. Greed has taken over.

We always have a good time here although we do travel outside of the school holidays as otherwise it?s too expensive. Standards for everything is good. The cabins are clean with everything you could need for your stay and guest services are only a call away. We?ve been more times than I can remember and I don?t doubt we will be going again in the future.Rooms: Clean with pretty much everything you might need for a stay.Walkability: Centreparcs is made for walking/cycling with no cars onsite after the arrival day. The ground is pretty level here and for those that can?t walk or cycle mobility scooters can be hired.Food & drinks: It is expensive to eat and drink on site. There?s nothing stopping you from eating out or bringing your own food in like a supermarket shop or takeaway.

Our first time visiting a Centre Parcs, this our most local.Upon arriving, staff were pleasant and welcoming, and our lodge was VERY clean, tidy, and inviting with a nice welcome message on the chalkboard.Throughout our stay, the entire site was clean, modern, and very well maintained. All staff were polite and friendly, with a special mention to Rachel in Cafe Rouge, for extremely top-level service. The pool was the best we had ever experienced. The food was of very good quality and well catered for allergies or preferences. All in all, we could hardly fault CP for their cleanliness, staff, or facilities.Feedback: a welcome pack, showing more about the venue for those less digital minded than we were.A 'how to' on what to do when arriving/leaving as this wasn't received via email, and we were left unsure where we could post our wristbands at the end of our stay.Preference notice: I believe CP would make a fine business from having a 'street vendor' or 2 available round site, for quick affordable fast food, for when the restaurants are busy or for some, unaffordable.Rooms: Our lodge was clean and of high quality.Nearby activities: PLENTY of activities for all ages and abilities.Could be cheaper, as many mentions around us of the cost of these.. but all in all, a great selection.Walkability: Dependant upon where you are located, its an easy walk to the main centre. We were in Birch and this was an easy 5-10 mins walk for us.Food & drinks: Great staff within the restaurants, food was of good quality and no more expensive than any other outside the complex.
