What a unique and welcoming pub! Landlady is so friendly and helpful. Beer is amazing and very reasonably priced. Having moved to Elmsett a month ago we shall definitely make The Wheelhouse one of our locals!

Top beers always here, faultless changing selection, super service, log fires in thatched pub. Just need to watch the low ceilings! Astonishing value for the quality of ales.

A brilliant old fashioned pub where conversation is king! Fantastically friendly landlady who was very accommodating and a couple of roaring fireplaces upon entry, what more could you want. Great prices and a nice stream of punters on a Sunday evening which was nice to see. We?ll be returning soon!

Outstanding local pub. Nancy the landlady is totally refreshing as a person and quite lovely to know. The bar and facilities are kept immaculately. The beer is excellent. The locals are all inclusive and friendly. The garden is pleasant and nicely kept. Good parking off-road at front of pub as well as some at rear.

A true hidden little gem that has more history then any pub I've been to before. The landlady was kind, talkative and proud (rightly so) of her establishment. The prices were normal for any where never mind a southern village pub.Would highly recommend as it'll be the perfect stop for any hiker in the area.

What at absolute gem. Time has stood still at this very traditional country local - no wall-to-wall sports, jarring "musak" gaming machines or any other distractions. Just good honest country folk, good conversation, friendly landlady and great beer. Long may it continue.

Like stepping back in time. Beautiful old building lovingly maintained. The garden is peaceful and the delicious beer is clearly kept with care.
