Unbelievable. Chose a lovely card and went to pay. Only me at checkout. I greeted the assistant with a Hello good morning. She was so deep into a non work conversation with another (unoccupied) assistant that she didn't even hear me and continued talking. The only interaction was do you want a receipt. So sorry to interrupt your leisure by requiring you to engage with common courtesy and perhaps do your job. The post office staff are also rude. Anyone you meet in Beccles shares this opinion. W H Smith do not need a rebrand - they need to retrain their staff.

Helpful staff usefully open 7 days a week ....sad when post office unusuallynot open on Sunday due to staff shortages... really value that service.

Post office is useless, I have nearly always has a long wait. Shop is small, not enough room to move around...especially if there is someone on a mobility scooter or pushing a pushchair. Stock is limited and cards and stationary quite pricey.

In regards to the post office in this place the word jobs worth is putting it ever so politely. First I was miss informed about what is and what isn't allowed to be sent, secondly they charge more than the one stop post office in Worlingham and third of all the service in its self if something of joke! On all four occasion I have been here to send a parcel ( ebay ) there has been an issue. Not one person seems to know how to do the job and no one seems to know the meaning of customer service, the miss information impacted to the point I had to unwrap my parcel take my contents out to have been told what I had in there originally was correct in the first place I then had to buy another box to wrap my parcel in more tape and re wrote address etc and on another occasion I was told I had to open my parcel once again and split the contents because your only allowed a certain ammounot of a specific item in a box well hold on a the list in the booked states I could have had more than what I had in there any way! To add to insult they wanted to charge more meaning what I would have earned from eBay doubled in the cost because I had to yet again get another box and more tape! Avoid this place at all costs it's worth going that little further out to Worlingham one stop purely for the quick service lovely people who work there and at CHEAPER prices!
