Great place for a pre or post concert drink at Snape Maltings. Had some lovely meals there, would definitely recommend.

Disappointing. Two of our party ordered the mussels for main which featured on the specials board, £17 a dish. When ordering nobody informed us that it didn?t come with a side of bread or fries which we had assumed it had given the cost. When the food was served we asked if we could have some bread to soak up the sauce (no spoons were provided either, or finger bowls), our server said ?I can?t just give it to you, you?ll have to pay?. We obviously said that?s fine. 5 minutes later some bread did arrive, with another instruction that we need to pay for it before leaving. Just after we?d finished our food another, different member of staff came to clear our plates. One of our party was already inside to pay our dues but the employee once again said we needed to go inside to pay before leaving, the third time! We tried to feedback the issue that it?s somewhat ambiguous re no carbs and would be good to know in future but they were not very receptive. The portion size of the mussels was small too given the price, £1 per mussel. A disappointing experience overall and we won?t be in a rush to come back unfortunately!

I recently stayed at The Cross Keys in Aldeburgh, and it was an absolute gem! Nestled right in the heart of this charming seaside town, the hotel offers the perfect blend of coastal character, comfort, and hospitality.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine friendliness by the staff. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is relaxed, inviting, and beautifully reflective of Aldeburgh?s coastal charm.
The room was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully decorated with modern touches while still keeping that traditional feel. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept like a dream. The little details?from the quality linens to the well-stocked refreshments?made the stay feel extra special.
Downstairs, the pub and dining area are cosy and full of character. The food was a real highlight?delicious, freshly prepared, and full of local flavour. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or just a coffee in the morning, everything was served with a smile.
The location is unbeatable?just a short walk to the beach, high street shops, and all that Aldeburgh has to offer. It?s the perfect base whether you're exploring the Suffolk coast or just looking for a peaceful getaway.
Overall, Cross Keys is a true coastal retreat. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommended!

Lovely little cozy pub, seemed popular for food although we didn't eat. One to visit.

We visited several times while staying on holiday locally. Very nice traditional pub in the town centre. We welcomed the warm fire as it was poring with rain outside on our first visit. Great choice of beers with a few I've never seen before. My only slight complaint was that a couple of the girls serving weren't very welcoming and didn't come across as very happy. However, we will definitely visit again when back in the area.

Delicious, savoury, yeasty, Adnams bitter in front of a wood fire. Wondrous

Lovely dog friendly pub. I chose the Soup of the Day, handmade tomato and basil soup with fresh basil leaves, served with warm bread. Coffee was great too.

The pub is fine, if not small. There is an outside area (paved) off the main road. There are no baby change facilities at all, which is a slight issue?
