Queued for 15 minutes just after opening on Sunday evening. Was well worth the wait as the fish and chips were excellent and we sat on the beach nearby to eat them

Ordered 2 cod and chips, both cod were tiny thin slithers of burnt fish absolutely full of bones. What has happened to what was a great chippy?!

Possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had.
I paid £14.10 for a large cod and chips, curry sauce and can of drink. Waited 15-20mins to get in the door and was given a tiny portion of chips and a cod that was full of bones!! I must have picked out around 10 bones!!
I would have taken it back but wasn't going to waste my day queuing.

My fish and chips were quite good, but the experience was soured by two things: the small portion size for the price and the miserable attitude of the person who served me. I wouldn't go back.

Been here a few times and was fairly nice before. Portions are tiny! Expect a small portion when you pay for the large. Haddock was so thin and bone dry. Well overcooked. Chips were tasty, but you really do get a pathetic portion which barely lines the bottom the bag. You pay good money for something, you expect quality! This was far from it. Trouble is, so many think it's great and the queues are often very big, so why would they care if they put out mediocre food and charge a lot for it if people keep coming back?
If you have reviewed this place as the best in the UK, you really need to go outside of Aldeburgh because this is far from it!
Photo is the haddock which is supposed to be large! I've had bigger fish fingers!
Some of the staff are rude, but that's the least of their worries here.

Every year my son and myself come to this Fish and chip shop. The food is fresh and it's not overly priced. My son is 13 and had a child's fish and chips, the fish was a decent size and there was what I would consider enough chips for an adult, to be honest to many for my son. Friendly staff, clean shop and great food

Good service and quick turnarounds. However, I have to say, every time I?ve got cod here, there has been a lot of bones, puts you right off your food when you get a mouth full of fish bone.
