Impeccable!
Staff always provide an excellent service. Food is extremely good. The grounds are stunning and well maintained.
Private rooms available for larger groups. Have had many family meals here. It's a wonderful place.
A venue for the whole year round and occasions.

We held my mothers wake here recently. The buffet was excellent. The room was upstairs and unsuitable for disabled people, and luckily we didn't have any.

The School House is simply a no nonsense restaurant. You order, you receive an absolutely perfect meal. The table service is great and your not bothered by the continous updates (Is everything OK?) that some restaurants seem to want as if they are not confident that what they have presented is maybe not up to standard.
The location is great and perfect for weddings etc. There is an anteroom where you can enjoy pre dinner drinks.
Car park can be a bit tight. I booked our table by booking calling the restaurant directly.
Would I recommend? Yes, a very pleasant evening out to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary celebration; the staff are so cheerful and helpful, they notice everything that needs doing quickly and efficiently and are most thoughtful of people's individual needs.
The food is delicious. There is a wide menu catering for all tastes, portions are generous and presented attractively. Price - very reasonable.
Great care is taken to ensure hygiene in all areas.
We shall be returning with our friends.

Attended this venue with for a post funeral/wake of a friend.
A really nice venue. A very good use of space in the function room. The bar service could be improved a little as it was slow but staff were really pleasant and friendly.
Venue looks great for weddings with plenty of space outside. The owners could do with considering some better air quality options like air conditioning on the warmest of days as the portable fans they just wasn't up for the job.
Parking is a little limited but due to location they seem limited on options to improve this.
Overall though a really nice venue and definitely recommend.

Attended a wedding here and although the manager worked extremely hard in the heat, his stress was shown. He flew around the room, telling people how busy he was. I had asked for a soft drink for the toast but was told I had to get my own from the bar as he was too busy!
We were trying to have photos and he shouted at us all to get in the venue so his staff could double check our orders, he really bellowed at us so we had to leave the photographer. Not good.
The lamb was dry and full of grissle, couldn?t eat and not a bit of salt had touched the plates

Celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary back at our stunning wedding venue. Last night was as perfect as our wedding day. Lovely welcome, attentive staff. Great choice of wines. Absolutely outstanding food which was perfectly timed in between courses. Lovely touches & bottle of chilled water on the table that you don?t get charged for. It was great to chat about our day & reminisce. Stunning place within a stunning setting. Highly recommend for your wedding & any celebration or just an exquisite meal ??

The most amazing lunch for my Dads 80th birthday celebration ! Perfection from start to finish. Chris was AMAZING & took such good care of us. Every member of staff were outstanding, food was excellent, service was off the scale & it was a day we will never ever forget ?? xx

Came as part of a group and enjoyed everything. The service was really good, some of the group were chatting to the team on a first name basis by the end of it.
Food is fresh but from what I understand the menu isn't necessarily available far in advance as it's dependent on what is on season. Everything was beautifully cooked although one of the party wasn't happy with the size of the chips (thought they were too big)and requested a change to fries which the team was happy to accommodate.
There was a decent sized car park with beautiful views that you can take in if you sit outside.
It seemed like a popular space though so I would very much recommend booking in advance.
