A friendly and welcoming place. Very clean and tidy and meticulously well maintained grounds and pitches. Super location and good value.

Nice area, lovely pleasant wardens. Site very uneven; facilities poor & not enough to cope with bank holiday campers.Entrance to site very tight, exit bad due to being uphill and with blind spot from the right.Wouldn't visit again sorry!

A lovely 3 night stay on plot 21. Quieter than our last visit. Great facilities: shop, washer/ dryer( small charge), fridges, book and dvd shelves ( donate at the shop) shower area is excellent and very clean. Walked to Thor's Cave, about 8 miles round trip.Nicola - warden- has been so helpful as we had to reschedule twice. Will definitely be visiting again.

Stayed here for one night during the boiling hot September weather. Great facilities, warm check in and generally well organised. Stayed in the field across the road, which is lovely and quiet, however it is a good five minute walk to the main site across a busy road. The only real gripe was closing the men?s showers and toilets at 11:30 when check out is at 12. The whole point of a check out time is to complete the cleaning then. No really acceptable when prop would have quite rightly planned around that check out time.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my two children. The site is excellent, a beautiful location, extremely well maintained, spotless facilities and warm and friendly, helpful staff. When I arrived to set up I asked about where to park etc and the warden was very helpful and said the campers in the next pitch were not pitched correctly so I could park my car where ever I wanted to. I parked it on the empty side. It turned out they?d booked two separate pitches not together and decided to all go on one pitch taking up a lot of the empty free space. In the evening it was chilly and I?d been in my small tent with the children, I came out the tent to find the next pitch had parked one of their vehicles, a white minivan right into my pitch, outside my door almost touching my guy lines. I couldn?t believe how rude this was or the audacity. I?d paid for my pitch, I may have a small tent but they had no right parking on my pitch and in our personal space. Travelling alone with children i didnt want to have an altercation. I emailed reception (I could have rang the bell but it was in the evening and I didn?t feel this warranted disturbing them). The next morning I had a lovely email reply, Nicola also came to see me with a huge apology, a bottle of Prosecco and lovely cookies. The pitch next door were leaving that morning so there was no point anything being said. Nicola was kind and reassured me that they shouldn?t have been pitched like they were and wanted us to have a lovely stay which we then did, we felt safe. We had a fire on two nights, they hire fire pits but I had small one of my own and found two slabs to put it on to fully protect the grass. We had a fair bit of rain, it was getting a bit soggy by the last day but the sun was then forecast to dry it up. The first night we ate at The Manifold opposite the site. A beautiful pub, excellent food and great service. We also walked into Hartington, a picturesque village. Thank you to Nicola and her partner for looking after us, we really enjoyed our trip after the issue the first night.

This was our 3rd stay at bank house farm with Angela and Wayne and we have enjoyed all visits. Sadly the weather wasnt great for the 1st couple of days but we all still had fun and made the most of it. Our group has grown year on year due to us having such a good time. Great clean facilities, great location, lovely pub just opposite and great to have food trucks on Friday and Saturday nights. Angela and Wayne couldnt do enough for us and sorted out any problems we had, not a job I would be envious of as difficult to keep so many people happy especially when it's raining.

We have been visiting this site now for two years, regularly due to only an hour and a half journey from home therefore, ideal for a spontaneous night stop. We have recommended this site to two couples who have returned home with rave reviews not only about the site but also the wardens ( both wardens) I find the previous rude review hard to not only understand but also I find it disgusting that this person has to mention where the wardens originate from. To give everyone an understanding of our experience, the very first time we encountered the ?south African? couple we arrived at 8pm having been turned away by the site we had booked due them double booking our allocated pitch, they could not have helped us anymore if they had tried, we felt immediately reassured by them and they couldn?t do enough to help us. They have been wardens for a long time at Hulme end and as we understand it, they abide by rules set by the owner of the site. Rules are there for a reason and it?s a shame that some people believe that they are excluded from rules. The other wardens perhaps allowed this awning issue to be overruled. I find people use trip advisor to off load frustrations and slander people who are simply just doing their job.

Lovely spot but really let down by price versus the lack of facilities also a dark walk along unsafe Bridge road with no footpath - cars come flying along and so unsuitable for children really. Def need to address the facility set up. One tap which needs fixing.

Another fantastic trip to this fabulous site on the edge of the Manifold Valley. Great facilities and helpful staff. A great base for exploring the area and further afield and what's better than a great pub (Manifold Inn) on the doorstep. Our 3rd visit in as many years - will no doubt return at some point.

Me, my husband and my two children came here for a couple of nights at the beginning of August and had a brill time! We were slightly concerned about all the rain we?d had a few days before arriving, however we were called by the owners of the site who had very kindly re-accommodated us onto a more suitable pitch. My parents joined us too and we had a brilliant couple of days together. The site was beautifully kept and me and my kids really enjoyed paddling in the stream which ran across the side of the campsite. The huge playing field was perfect for us to play endless games of football & cricket, the toilets and showering facilities were spotless & the staff couldn?t do enough for you. My son and daughter said this was ?the best holiday ever?, we can?t wait to come back!

Let me start by explaining that two sets of wardens share duties four days on four days off. We were greeted (not a greeting as such) just an admission to their fiefdom by a very surly South African couple. We were on a hard standing patch with plenty of space to the side for our gazebo, however the stazi warden made us take this down as it was 3.5m not 3m and we were not allowed to erect our porch awning as it was a non awning site. Ordinarily I wouldn?t care but 4 days of belting rain is not great fun if you have little outside shelter. Secondly we asked them about local facilities for swimming etc they didn?t even try to help. We met the second couple of wardens from Leeds who really understood what common sense was and customer service entails and even volunteered to help us put up the gazebo. We were leaving next day so no point. I?ll gladly return if we were hosted by the second couple and their lovely dog Gary but not on the showing of the first pair.

Myself, 3 young boys and puppy stayed at Bank House farm Campsite at the start of the summer holidays 2023. The weather was not great but the campsite was absolutely perfect. The facilities are the best that I have ever experience from a campsite. The showers were immaculate and cleaned well and regularly. The washing areas and fridges were equally sufficient and there was even a washing machine and tumble-dryer which came in handy to dry off some wet clothing!!!The quality of the grass areas and campsite in general shows the high standard that is being achieved by the owners and the team at Bank House. The lawns are better than my garden. The staff are all so helpful and friendly and the lovely on site shop is equipped with everything that you could need and more. The firepit was the perfect end to some days and created much fun toasting the famous marshmallows that you have to do on a camping trip. The local area was fabulous as well with the impressive Thors Cave well worth a visit. We will be back soon.
