Bar staff friendly. Food was really bad. Had steak but couldn't cut it as was full of grizzle, chips were frozen and tasted sweet... I eat out a lot and this has to be the worst steak I've ever tried to eat.
I had to tell the barman as food like that shouldn't be sent out by the kitchen.
Definitely do not recommend this establishment for food.

Walked out at first because all but one handpump was off. A few hours later they had added 4 more ales and the Tribute was spot on. So glad that I returned.

I have visited more recently than my last review.Hardly any wait to be served and the pint was very nice.It's not the cheapest in town but it was a pleasent experience.I have never tried the food but the food I did see being served looked very appealing.

Staff should be taught when preparing food for delivery and handing it to the driver not to put cold drinks and hot food in the same bag.

Having a terrible time seen better service provided in Wetherspoons. No garlic bread so have me cardboard instead. Been waiting 45 mins for drinks and staff just standing around like wet

My wife and myself visited the phoenix for the first time this week , the atmosphere in there was good music was not to loud , ordered meal at bar then waited twenty minutes no meal !! Had a word with one of the bar staff and explained time we had been waiting she apologised and went into kitchen,almost immediately returned with our order , I'm sorry to say the meal was not very hot and the chips looked like they had been cooked more than once.Regards
