Love this childhood memories I love all the cakes in birds why can?t they bring one near to me , I prefer birds over Greggs anytime because birds is where the doughnuts with cream originally come from their pastry?s are just the best nothing can beat this bakery love it

I normally go to Birds on a Saturday to buy their crusty cobs. I usually buy the pack of 6 but throw 2 away or give the soft centre to bthe other birds( feathered sort not bakery ?) as there are only 2 of us and have 2 each for Saturday lunch. Today, I remembered that I used to ask for 4 cobs so did ask today only to be told that I could only have lots of 3 or 6.
I decided to go to the market ( Gaytons bakery)where I could buy in pack of 4 for £1.50 or pack of 6 for £2.00. Birds bakery charge £2.50 for 6.
Not only could I get the 4 cobs I wanted but cheaper, crustier and better tasting.I will be using Gaytons on the market from now on!

The lady who helped me with checkout was super friendly, kind, and efficient! So was the gentleman conducting cleaning duties on the facility, he was also very friendly :-)
The pastries were tasty lol

Visited birds for the first time and the lady who served me was lovely, the sausage roll was definitely better than Gregg?s! Would definitely visit again !
