Ok, nothing bad and nothing really outstanding. Had most essential diy stuff at top end prices, no real bargains to be had but if you need it now then they probably will have it.

It's a huge store and so I often have to ask where to find an item. Staff have committed all the aisle numbers to memory and can reel them off easily! Very impressively helpful at all times.

Good location, plenty parking spaces and also got wheel chair access. Some products are reasonable in price. Very good selection of garden plants and friendly staff

Unhelpful staff and looked like they really couldn't be bothered. Didn't help me at all when I was struggling to get a plant into a bag

We recently had our bathroom done through B&Q, and overall, we had a really positive experience. Caitlyn and Katie were fantastic from start to finish, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. One thing we really appreciated was how flexible they were?right from the start, they reassured us that if we wanted to make any changes, even after payment, we could just reach out, and they?d sort it.
Unfortunately, we did have an issue with our tiles. Since they were discontinued, we had to buy out all the stock from both the Tamworth and Derby B&Q stores. The plan was for Derby to set aside their stock and send it to us in time for the bathroom fitting, but they ended up selling them instead. It was a stressful situation, but the
Tamworth store duty manager (Nathan) was incredibly helpful. They let us choose a replacement, and even though the only suitable tiles available were much more expensive, they covered the difference just to make sure everything got sorted.
They also arranged for our bathroom installer, Luke Lawson, to pick up and return the tiles we already had, which was a big help because they were really heavy. Speaking of Luke, he was fantastic! We used one of B&Q?s listed contractors, and he did an amazing job with the installation.
From start to finish, he was professional, reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
Luke managed all the trades involved, including the tiler and electrician, ensuring everything ran smoothly and to a high standard. Everyone he brought in was professional and punctual. He also kept the workspace clean and tidy, making sure to leave everything spotless at the end of each day, which was a big plus for us.
His design input was fantastic and made a huge difference. Initially, we wanted herringbone tiles on the window wall, but Luke suggested putting them in the shower area instead, which was absolutely the right call?it looks amazing! He also adjusted the shower wall slightly to make the window appear more central and sourced radiator valves that matched the bathroom?s overall style perfectly.
About a month after the bathroom was finished, we noticed an external leak from the grey waste pipe. This was unrelated to Luke?s internal work and was likely an older issue we hadn?t noticed before. Even so, Luke came back promptly and fixed it free of charge, which we really appreciated.
During the project, Luke also went out of his way to help with other small details. He noticed our bathroom door was sticking and planed it down, and he even did the same for a bedroom door. After the bathroom was completed, our boiler unexpectedly failed, and Luke provided us with the details of a gas-certified company that came out straight away and resolved the issue.
At his price point, Luke?s work was incredibly competitive and excellent value for money, especially considering this was a complete bathroom remodel. He truly delivered a stunning bathroom while making the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. We wouldn?t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, dependable, and thoughtful tradesperson
Despite the tile hiccup, we?re really happy with how everything turned out. The Luke and the team at B&Q went out of their way to make things right, and the quality of the work was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Really decent store with plenty of parking. My preferred DIY retailer for the range of products, presentation, and locality
