I had an issue with a piece of furniture I had purchased so I went into Argos in Sainburys at the Jolly Sailor in Tamworth. I was dealt with by a lady who I think was the manager (I didn?t catch her name), the only sufficient way to describe her was a problem solver - a rare find in my experience! She was extremely helpful in dealing with my issue. My partner and I have had a stressful time moving house, this problem with our order adding to our stress, but things are made 100x easier when staff are as helpful as this lady was when issues occur and seamlessly sorted out our issue. A credit to the store - thank you so much for all your help!

Avoid. I ordered a ps5 and paid £550, after receiving the email collection confirmation to collect, I then driven for 50 mins in rush hour traffic to be told it?s out of stock even though clearly said it was IN STOCK and ready for collection. I now have to wait 5 working days for a refund. Complete waste of time and not even an apology.

Dear Argos , you took my order 22473355 for a tumble dryer . Paid and confirmed delivery for 31/12/22. On the 28/12/22. I received a txt that the order had failed and you are refunding me & to wait 5 days for my money back. You then put on your site the same tumble dryer is available the following day after original delivery date , you offer that I can reorder the same item ., but have not refunded my money . Surely you should not take an order if the goods are not available. Order raised within Sainsbury?s. Please reply

I ordered a fridge freezer for delivery today with a 2 week lead time. I was told by Argos that I will receive a text message prior to receiving delivery to confirm a time slot, also I should expect to receive a phone call when the driver is on his way. Unfortunately, I received no such thing! The driver turned up without my knowledge as I was at my local getting the basics. When I called to explain the situation I was told they are sorry for their lack of communication, however the earliest re-delivery slot is now 3rd March. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have an 8 year old child to feed with no way of storing the food. I have requested a refund and will no be looking elsewhere. If it is urgent I would suggest not ordering from Argos.

Dim wits. I had ordered a set of little dimmable table lamps online from their website, and tried to order the bulbs they automatically recommended for these dimmable lamps. only it said their store didn't carry those bulbs. So I spent nearly an hour trying to find other bulbs that would work. I found a pair I thought would work, but I wasn't sure as it wasn't clear on the website. But I added them to the trolley, thinking that when i went to collect them in store, that the staff would let me test the bulbs to see if they worked with the lamps.Anyway, I get to the store, and someone called Chloe helps me, and I tell her that I really don't want to drive all the way home only to find that the bulbs are wrong, so can she please check to make sure they are right, or can I test the bulbs in store. She said I could not test the bulbs in store. And she proceeded to look on her computer for bulbs she thought would work. I clarified they needed to be dimmable. Now these were small table lamps that said they took "golfball" type mini globe bulbs - meaning small bulbs.I had trusted her to find me the right ones. She told me that the ones I had ordered were wrong, and she found bulbs she said would work. I said to her, "are you sure?" and she said yes.She went and got the other bulbs, handed them to me, and told me that she had asked the manager if they would work with the table lamps, to double check. She said the manager said they would work.So I trusted them, and left, and got home, and opened up the lamps and the bulbs, and soon as I tried to put the bulb into the lamp I could tell it was the large bulb, and way too big for the table lamp.I was livid, and I phoned customer services and spoke to someone called Jo, who wasted 45 minutes of my time as she was a complete dimwit. But she also said that the staff should have let me test the bulbs in the store before I left. I told her that Chloe said it wasn't allowed. Jo said that wasn't true. But Jo did NOTHING for me to resolve my issue, or my upset over being messed about. I put the phone down on her.I drove back to the Argos, and Chloe was still there, and I said to her "do you remember me?" and she, without any emotion at all, said yes. She offered no apology at all, even though she KNEW that she had messed me about by telling me the bulbs she found would work fine, when they were entirely wrong, and forcing me to drive back to the store to return them. No apology, and no hint of any remorse off her. Disgusting, that.At that point, another colleague took over, and searched the system. After around 8 minutes, they told me that they didn't sell dimmable bulbs at all. That I needed to go to B & Q for those bulbs. Why would Argos sell dimmable table lamps, but not dimmable bulbs?Absolutely piss poor service by this Tamworth team.Update - 1st Dec 2021 - ordered something on ebay from Argos, was given a collection number beginning with EB, for ebay, showed it to staff, who had no idea what to do with it. A more senior/permanent staff member came over and she was extremely abrupt in her tone as if I was causing a problem for them, and matter of factly told me I needed an "SM" number else they couldn't help me. I told her I wasn't given one as I bought the item on ebay, selecting to collect it at their store. Suddenly she switches gears and says the EB number is fine. I'm handed the item, and I then ask for a gift receipt. Again, I'm abruptly told, almost scolded, that I can't have one because I bought the item on ebay, and it was the seller's problem to give me one, not theirs. Fair enough, but she didn't have to say it in such a nasty tone. Their staff are some of the worst at customer service in the entire country. Seriously.
