"My stay at Tollgate Hotel was disappointing due to the poor service and cleanliness. The room cleaning staff were rude, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was subpar. The condition of the room was also unsatisfactory, with a need for replacement of the bed, carpet, and other items. I hope the hotel management takes steps to improve these issues for future guests."

Shower hardly worked, bath brilliant! Room was cold as heating wasn?t on!

The room was freezing cold, so I asked the reception to swap rooms where the heating has been turned on. They gave us a different one, we had the same problem again no heating. It was freezing cold. The shower had super cold water, the shower pressure was lower than my wee pressure.

Really nice hotel with spacious rooms. The service was impeccable, the staff were very friendly . The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the room. They also do a Sunday roast which was absolutely delicious! We had a carrot and coriander soup for starter which was sublime followed by roast beef with potatoes, veg Yorkshire and gravy. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was very well priced too. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Stayed here a night with the family and it was a wonderful experience, to say the least. The receptionists were very warm, friendly, and down-to-earth; they welcomed us for meals and seemed genuinely happy to help with our queries. The rooms themselves were rustic and homely where comfort was not an issue. Highly recommend this for business or vacation purposes any day.

Stayed one night as visiting family in the area. We booked a ground floor family room for 3 adults. It was very clean & smelled fresh. Very quiet at night. There was tea & coffee available plus some toiletries were provided. The room was a bit dated but perfectly acceptable for the price. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, plentiful & tasty. Staff were helpful & efficient. I sent an email query before arrival & received a reply with all the info I needed very quickly. Plenty of parking.

Just home from a weekend at the Stafford classic bike show. Booked a twin room for last night. On arrival the hotel manageress was incredibly polite and helpful. The room was very nice, the bar area and food were also very good. The whole experience was very good, mainly because of the hard work carried out by the manageress and the chef. Thankyou you so much. Brilliant.

Very poor,rooms dated and in need of refurbishment.No tables set for breakfast,no fresh milk,no vegetarian sausage,eggs overcooked and beans cold.Will not be staying here again.

Clean rooms, however could do with updating.Slept well as it was fairly quiet through the night, road behind starts to get busy early morning.Walkability: Shops, pubs/restaurants in walking distance.

Absolutely disgusting place to stay!!avoid at all costs!!rooms are dated and absolutely shocking!!£85 a night no breakfast included ordered breakfast for the next morning only to be told the lady would have to heat the fryers up etc!no tea or coffee with it when it did arrive!shambles

The room was clean and comfortable. Though pretty unremarkable. The location was okay, though, out of the way. It was a decent place to stop for the night passing through.

Breakfast took an hour. To make matters worse it was only beans on toast I had ordered.Rooms: The room I had was just basic. Cheap and dingy. Nothing exciting to talk about.

Had some trouble with some lads pestering my girls who were in their own room. Reception said they were doing no harm
