I was very tempted to leave after 10 mins however I didn't. I work in the industry, so very rarely complain however this was pathetic in my opinion. We were seated by a very unpleasant, and un professional host. By his shirt being untidy and his attitude wasn't the best. After 10 mins we were offended drinks by the same guy better table service than host service. After an additional 20-25 minutes our server win arrived, asked if we wanted starts. My friend has a nut allergy which she was very attentive too. She then stood by the table in silence for about 7 mins then walked off after assuming we wanted a carvery. Lucky I did just want a carvery. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread and were brought normal garlic bread, I looked for win but could not find her anywhere. While waiting to order there was a younger server who appeared to be doing nothing at all. Instead of helping a busy section she just stood watching her Own section to where people who were sat after others were being seen too first instead of the ones that waited longer. I was disgusted with the service I was provided. We waited over 30 mins for a nut allergy carvery to be made when it arrived it was cold and we had to send it back to then wait a further 25 mins. The beef I received from the carvery was pathetic it was a slither smaller than lighter which was embarrassing. I will Definitely it be returning this was outrageous and to top my day they weren't even busy!

We went here today for the Carvery after recieving gift vouchers from Toby at Trentham for their dire breakfast last week. We hoped this venue would be better and we were right. The Staff are so polite and we were served by the lovely Sam. Questioned about allergies as we ordered and the Manager was brilliant at assuring me that my corriander allergy would not be a problem with any of their food. Food was nice and hot, good mixed choice. The roasties were spot on. The Son went up for a second helping of all things veg. Choice of gammon, turkey, beef and pork. Staff very on it, quick to clean tables and remove plates and all very cheery and polite. Would return to this venue compared to the one in Trentham and also to try the breakfast here. Much nicer ambience from the beginning. Well done to the hard working Staff & Chef's.

We popped into the Toby Carvery at Festival Park in Hanley just for a quick drink ? nothing complicated, nothing demanding. What we got instead was a five-minute wait at an empty bar, followed by the arrival of a man who looked completely unfit to deal with customers (I believe his name was Jim). His attitude was nothing short of appalling. He looked like he was seconds away from short-circuiting, completely disinterested in serving anyone and downright rude from the moment he opened his mouth. A bizarre man to be quite honest. \n\nNo greeting, no apology for the wait, just an immediate strop as if we were inconveniencing him. If you?re offering bar service, at least staff it with someone capable of basic human interaction.\n\nSafe to say we took our money elsewhere. Avoid if you value basic manners or customer service.

Came tonight for food with my husband and 3 children, we were sat for a while before a drinks order was taken. Carvery veg, was dry from the heat lamp. Gravy was like water and carvery was taken away and cleared without asking us if we wanted anything else, as my children wanted more mash and gravy and couldn?t ,sadly not worth 83 pound I paid on Mother?s Day, I get it?s been busy all day but if paying customers are paying that price they deserve the same service and food as everyone else

Abysmal food, £15 for a Sunday dinner. Vegetable selection was low, carrots were severely undercooked they may as well have been raw, and as for the ?mashed potatoes? they can only be described as having the consistency of wallpaper paste. The meat selection was good but for the cost I?d have expected to at least have a slice of beef not the tidbits I was served. The only decent thing on the plate was the gravy. Needless to say it was our first and our last time.

So disappointed with our visit today - as regular visitors for lunch couldn?t believe the attitude of the manager and staff today.\nMy elderly aunt and uncle had travelled from Warwick to take my 92 year old mother out for her birthday lunch and I would be joining them later - table of 4 booked- had a lovely meal and initially the staff were very polite however when my daughter and 8 month old grandson joined us for a surprise for my mom things changed drastically- \nYes I did move a chair to the end of the table along with a high chair - the buggy was moved elsewhere - plenty of room around the table for other diners and staff - however on ordering something for my daughter was told we hadn?t booked, couldn?t move a chair ( as apparently they are all accounted for ?) and every other table was booked up ( plenty of tables free)so couldn?t move to a bigger one - was told to go to the bar.\nNo assistance offered - I spoke to the manager who said the bar couldn?t accommodate us - although again there were plenty of tables and chairs free but again it would mean putting a high chair to a table. \nThe only thing they were interested in was us paying the bill.\nOther diners even offered their seats as they were leaving but again this was declined by the staff - these guests hadn?t booked either and couldn?t believe the attitude of the staff ?\nSo if you are thinking of going with elderly disabled guests or young children that require high chairs then think again ?

First visit, expecting a very average dining experience, well it is a Toby Carvery isn't it? Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food on offer. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, sli?htly rare, lovely and moist, the selection of vegetables was excellent and all for less than a tenner!

We visited today as we are in the area to go to Alton towers tomorrow.\nWe arrived almost an hour early but were given a buzzer to let us know when our table was ready which only took 10 minutes. \nI had the gammon, beef and pork all were cooked perfectly with very little fat. \nThe potato bake was delicious and the mac&cheese was lovely and cheesy. \nCarrots, peas and cabbage were well cooked. \nThe cauliflower cheese was nice but not much of a cheesy taste and the sauce was a bit thin for my liking. \nThe roast potatoes I found to be hit and miss, some were lovely and fluffy, some were too hard/dried out to cut but considering the standard of everything else, this was a minor detail. \nAfter our meal we ordered deserts, our waitress was very apologetic that there could be a 15 minute wait but considering how busy the restaurant was we found that to be an acceptable wait. \nThis is by far one of the best Toby carveries we have visited and every member of staff we spoke to was incredibly friendly and helpful. If we were to be in the area again we would definitely return. \n\nOne thing I did notice though was that under a sign post near the queue for the carvery there were two baskets as a display containing onions and carrots, the carrots we could see were shrivels and turning black, not very appealing however given the location I can understand how they may be overlooked

So, we booked here for a last minute carvery on a bank holiday Monday. Was very busy but we were seated immediately & drinks ordered whilst we queued for the carvery. Yes it was busy & took 10 mins or so whilst they refreshed the meats & veg. Lad doing the meats, Paul, was great given the queue & the moaners in it! Food was hot, we thoroughly enjoyed it & our server Ellie was really lovely. As for people who moan about the parking situation...there's at least 3 terminals to input your car reg & there's signs everywhere! It's good value for a quick carvery if you fancy one & a good choice of wines too.

Arrived and seated. Was very busy and we joined the queue with about 7 people in front of us. 1 lad serving and we waited 15 to 20 mins as it was just too slow. Carvery food was ok but my friends ordered a turkey salad which came and was basically a plate of lettuce with 5 cherry tomatoes and \nA ribbon of cucumber. No carrots as on menu at a cost of £7.79 then £1.50 for 3 thin sl8ces of turkey. Just not worth the money. And 1 waitress serving, taking orders and payments. She was lovely but deffo over worked.\nWill not be back.\nI can eat in a decent gastro pub for a little more.

The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday lunchtime. We had booked and were seated quickly, and our drinks order taken. The queue for the carvery was quite long, but we were served quickly and the food was delicious. \nI had used the app to book, and also wanted to use the 25% discount and start collecting stamps again. However, the app would not do what it was supposed to do. I received help from staff, but without a result. After our puddings and coffee, we paid and left. The staff were cheerful and helpful, in an incredibly busy environment. However, even at home, I cannot access the app( uninstalled, different email address, turn phone off and on again) . This is disappointing, and perhaps the app needs some intervention.

Walked in at 10:45am on a Saturday, approached the "wait here to be seated" desk and asked for a table for two, only to be told a half empty (at best) restaurant was too busy. "I can't seat you for twenty minutes" we were told, followed by "and even then I'd have no food to give you."\n\nComplained via social media and the extent of their response was, "sorry, why don't you come back another time?"\n\nI like Toby Carvery/Stonehouse and will happily continue to use other units where the staff know how to treat the people that pay their wages, but I wouldn't set foot back in this place if it was free.\n\nThe unit manager and their social-media team are a total and utter disgrace to the brand.

Awful! Had to queue for 30 minutes for food as they kept running out, because the servers were dealing with justeat orders and not evening acknowledging anyone in the queue. The spoons you use for beans and tomatoes had holes in so literally all the juice drained out. By the time I got back to the table my hot drink was no longer hot! I saw about 15 people just walk out and ask for their money back. It was the worse breakfast I have ever had. Would not ever come back!
