What an amazing pub. Beautifully prepared food with delightful, interesting and well cooked vegetables. We had the roast dinner but there were plenty of other options which looked equally delicious. Very generous portion sizes and very reasonably priced considering the high quality of food. The service was prompt and friendly, the landlord has only been there 5 months and he?s done a terrific job. We did a really lovely walk from the pub over the moor and to the reservoir. All in all it was a lovely day out.

Great little pub situated in the middle of nowhere. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good choice of foods especially for a Sunday night. The food was hot, tasty and consistent where more than one was ordered. Dessert especially the sticky toffee pudding was amazing and would definitely go back just for that. All portion sizes were decent and I would highly recommend going out your way to visit.

Nothing but positive feed back after visiting tonite. From the moment we walked into the pub, the service was fantastic, staff extremely friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Onto the food, WOW!!! Beautifully presented, generous portions, you can clearly see when a chef takes pride in the cooking. Lovely atmosphere, felt really welcome. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends an family.

Another great meal at The Top Pub, there were 5 of us and we had a variety of starters and mains including, prawn and calimari, boarkies, potato skins and loaded fries all were delicious and plentiful. For mains we tried a mackerel special, the house made chicken, bacon and leek pie - possibly the best pie we've seen or tasted, chicken burger and a beef burger, e erything we had was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, the portion sizes are generous, we can't comment on the deserts as we were stuffed to capacity! But from previous experience they are gorgeous. The barman/waiter is friendly and attentive. This pub deserves to be busier because they are getting it right time after time.

Outstanding food freshly made including roasties . Everything was delicious with farm Eggs and beautifully cooked tender meats and vegetables. Plus a doggie menu!! :-)

Called in after a walk , I was really impressed with the lovely young lady who served us , as she was so welcoming. The interior is really stylish, yet at the same time keeping the traditional look. Beer garden looks appealing ,and it was refreshing to see a country pub open at lunch time. Just wish I lived nearer and I would definitely be a regular.
