I visited Specsavers to enquire about the cost of re-glaze using Zeiss lenses - a globally renowned, premium optical brand. The dispenser I spoke to had no idea what Zeiss lenses even were. This was both surprising and concerning, as I would expect a trained dispenser in a high-profile opticians to have at least a basic awareness of leading lens manufacturers. If their staff lack knowledge of one of the most respected names in the industry, it raises serious doubts about the level of expertise and training provided - and whether this is a place I would confidently trust with my eyewear needs. The answer: no. I walked away - shocked by the experience.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the optician who attended to me today. The optician demonstrated exceptional service during my eye test appointment, exceeding expectations in accommodating my needs. As I was unable to secure childcare for my six-year-old and one-year-old twins on the day of my appointments, I was concerned about potential disruptions. However, the reception staff alleviated my concerns by assuring me that they would assist in ensuring the appointments proceeded smoothly. During the appointment, the twins became distressed, likely due to the testing equipment. Recognizing my concern, the optician assured me that the presence of the twins in the examination room was not an issue. The optician maintained professionalism and assisted in calming the twins, allowing the eye exam to continue without further disruption. The optician made reasonable adjustments throughout the examination to ensure the comfort and well-being of everyone present. I am deeply appreciative of the kind and professional service provided by both the optician and the staff, who transformed a potentially stressful day into a much more manageable experience.
