Thanks Robert the replacement glasses arrived today Monday 14th August, much sooner than I expected. They seem to fit perfectly and I have today made BACS payment.Thanks again for your excellent service and response. DenisFor over 50 years being of a similar age Robert has taken care of my vision, in the beginning working with Mr Gallimore. He has always been experienced, professional, friendly and someone you can put every trust in. His knowledge of what frames are most suitable can be totally relied upon, to such an extent it is not necessary to choose personally, although the option is always there from a wide range available. With a few changes over the years to lenses, my capability of chart reading has remained the same. For the last 9 years I have lived in North Wales, I still prefer to travel to Stoke and dreading the day like most of his clients when Robert decides to retire.Denis Williams Rhos on Sea. My family have been with Robert Edwards since he first started when the business was Gallimore?s Opticians, I changed to contact lenses as Robert advised and wore them for over 22 yrs. I changed back to glasses and under his care my eyesight never deteriorated, all my children (now adults) went to him, and my eldest daughter who is disabled and has very short sight was discharged from the hospital eye specialist at 5 yrs old, who then recommended Robert for her future eye care, and she?s been ever since.I don?t know what we will do if or when he retires, as I won?t use the ?chain? opticians because they don?t offer the experience, care or expertise that Robert has and gives. So our 3 generations of family have been under the care of Robert Edwards, and hope to continue for a long time yet.5 ?care and professionalism.

After a break of 30 years, when I saw him as a student who had tired eyes from too much reading, my eyes are back in the care of the most professional optician in the area. He explains things, takes his time and is kind and considerate.

Mr Edwards is a fabulous Optician. He's a lovely man, professional yet friendly and works to the highest technical levels. I have type 1 diabetes and he closely monitors my retinas.I now take my mother to see him for her optical needs (and my father before his death) and my daughter gets her contact lenses from him.He stocks a great range of frames and has an excellent eye for what will suit his customers. The promises are airy and comfortable, styled beautifully by Mrs Edwards. The reception staff are also very warm and friendly.I cannot recommend RG Edwards highly enough.

If you want a proper Optician who has enormous experience then look no further. Do NOT bother with the amateurs in the High Street chains. My only worry is if Mr Edwards retires as I have now done!
