“I didn't plan on going there today, was looking for home bargains! Then saw the both of em, n thought I'll do the two, but after I'd been in b&m, I didn't fancy another long walk round a shop, parting with my hard earned on stuff that I didn't need. The store is massive, the quality of the goods is good, the stock levels are great. Bit of a let down with the misleading prices though. I bought a 4 sided grater, was marked up as reduced to 50p, bargain I thought, Thought, when I got to the till, the gent who was on, was more interested in having a chat with the lady behind me, I asked for a bag? Wow, if looks could kill, a carrier bag that no doubt, I was gonna end up paying through the nose for. Then when my total was due, he mumbled it, I couldn't hear what he said, so asked him to repeat, again one of them death looks, then when I got cash out, another look of death. I had about 6 items, my total was £12.00, I had been charged the full price of £2.00 for the grater, and the 2pk glade a/f refills were £2.00 more than stated. I could have questioned it, but to risk a full blown strop off him was more than I could bear. Will I shop there again? Not on your nelly! Should have gone to home bargains!”

“Always a great place for a bargain with plenty of offers and a well stock store. The young staff that work in this store and are mainly the ones who work on the checkouts are very polite and well mannered, it's a very pleasant shopping experience and I hope they are recognized for this. In general all the staff are very helpful”

“This is a nice small pound land store. Staff were super nice. It's nice and clean and tidy and well played out. The prices were surprisingly low considering the cost of living increases! Overall, it's a nice store.”

Shop can get busy on peak hours so try to avoid them if you are a social hermit and don't like people-ing.
Queues can get quite big but workers will open more tills where possible.

The one draw back to this place is the amount of times there have been shoplifters getting kicked out of the store causing a scene or damage. That's nit a problem with the store itself though. The other downside is the amount of people pretending to be homeless that sit outside the doors begging for money. When I say pretending to be homeless I will clarify this..
If you wait until the end of the day when the shops are shutting you will see them often meeting up together, getting changed into their high end gear , discussing the money they made that day and throwing all items of food/drinks in the bin and jumping into a car and driving off together. It's almost like homeless is a business and a ring of people working together.

“Great shopping as usual in £land. Check your prices though before adding to your trolley. Everything is not £1. Still value for money though. One member of staff was rude to myself and another customer this time because there wasn't a price on the item of clothing we wanted to purchase and told us to go and get one with a price as she couldn't leave the till area we both had the last item though and she couldn't be bothered to type the code in off the item so we had to wait. Also there was supposed to be 10% knocked off my item and we asked someone to do this and she just scanned the label that was on the item and didn't knock it off.”

“I love home bargains, I really do. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to marry it or anything weird like that. But, the stores are great, I had never been to this branch before, and it didn't let me down any. I only went in for a sweeping brush! 30 minutes later, I'd got everything but the sweeping brush! As is the case so many times.lol. There is just so much to choose from, the stock levels & variety are brilliant . As is, the value for ? ? ? ? ?. They stock everything that you do not know that you need!!!. The stores are always turned out well, extremely clean, and the staff are knowledgeable, and approachable. Not something you find in other named stores. All in all, it was a pleasure to go in there today, and part with my pennies. I will certainly be doing the bulk of my household shopping here from now on.”
