I recently purchased an item online which was a vacmaster garden hoover for £80 which was delivered to me last week, we put it together and tried it for the first time only to be severely disappointed in its performance, it barely picks anything up off our artificial lawn and the blow function is dire to say the least and dosnt blow leaves off our gravel pathway, however this is not my complaint, after realising how terrible this item was i returned it to my local store in Tunstall Stoke-on-Trent to be met with the most unhelpful member of staff, this was an older lady with short grey hair ( i think her name is janet )who after I had explained the situation was very rude and told me this was not a try before you buy shop and there's nothing she can do in a very rude tone, to which I replied how do I know it's not fit for purpose if i havnt tried it ? She continued to tell me there was absolutely nothing she could do to help me. thank goodness there was a lovely young lady there who came over to me and assisted, she explained to me that because I brought it online I should contact customer services who were extremely helpful and arranged a collection and a refund. I am not the kind of person to leave complaints it's very rare I feel the need to but the older lady in your Tunstall branch was rude, unhelpfull and made what should of been an easy transaction far more difficult than it needed to be. I have made an official complaint to head office about the lack of customer service from that staff member.

Diabolical customer service skills. Served by Janet who then called Ian over who refused my return despite being returnable for 30 days (purchased the same day). Both staff members were ignorant and rude, so I ended up going to another branch with no issues. I've read the reviews and so many confirm the same treatment. These two staff members need looking into and disciplinary action taken against them. Unacceptable behaviour from both, but especially with Ian who is just a nasty piece of work!!!

Disgusting customer service from Ian and Janet today at the Tunstall branch. They refused my return, which reading the reviews is a frequent occurrence with this store. I took it to a different store, explained the situation to which they apologised and issues a full refund. I explained the packaging of the item arrived damaged but the item had never been used, having only purchased it the day before. Both employees (Janet & Ian) accused me of lying, when challenging them on this Ian stood there and laughed in my face. I am absolutely appalled by this behaviour from both employees, but in particular with Ian who is supposedly meant to be the manager of this branch. Thanks to the other store the issue was resolved, and therefore I am now in the process of making a formal complaint about Ian.

Although they say on receipt that I can replace or return the item within 30 days of purchase but the experience was not the same. I bought a mobile phone which has a fault, when I asked them to replace the item they didn't replace it saying that they cannot do anything about it.

Generally a good store to use. But found some of the older female staff a bit rude when returning faulty purchases.

i accidentally ordered an item from stoke on trent, (i live in birmingham rn) and they cancelled my item but i have been trying to reach them and i they don?t even pick up my calls and i want my refund back. is it that hard??

so so rude. stood there waiting for well over 5 minutes in the paid online section. the shop was empty & the staff were stood there having a mothers meeting completely ignoring me. one simple job that they are incapable of doing.

The old lady at the customer service counter was so rude to me when trying to make a return which if I can?t could of just said it nicely had such a rude tone , working in customer service myself if I spoke like that I?d be fired . Honestly disgusting behaviour she was definitely racist

Went in to order something using an online voucher, couldn't get it to work, Amy, one of the staff there was Brill, sorted us out no problem, wish more staff were like that! Thank you!
