We had a fantastic stay and meal here. The location is gorgeous- we had a wonderful walk in the surrounding countryside. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view, the food was top tier and the service was impeccable.

What a find. Stopped here overnight whilst travelling. In our experience couldn't fault a thing. Food and service both excellent. Good choices for dinner, beautifully cooked, and a special mention must go to the breakfast also. Room comfortable, clean and very quiet. We will definitely return when in the area again. Thank you.

Stopped off for lunch on the way back from Leek, having passed by this roadside 'gastropub' on many previous occassions. Would likely pass by it again. The food was adequate but overpriced at £60 per head for a 2 course lunch

Had the ribeye steak, very fatty, chips okay but nothing special, two small onion rings. The only thing that was special was the price,£40 plus a service charge. Overall a disappointment

The price I was charged for a coke in a glass,(not a pint glass ,just a small glass)was £4.00 and with a pint of cider came to £9.70. Although the cider was nice I think £5.70 for a pint is expensive.
Also I had to ask for the ice which half filled the glass in the soft drink,to be removed ,I was not even asked if I wanted Ice??.Just felt like I had been ripped off.Because of these ridiculously high prices I would not recommend this pub or go there again.Total liberty charging those prices for a small soft drink.?
