Food and drinks: Like a previous review totally unacceptable wait time and food when it did arrive very disappointing. We are regulars, so not a review wanted to give, but very poor experience. We ordered bang on 12 which is when lunch time service starts, a fish finger sandwich and a burger. Were told 15 minutes wait for the burger, odd but ok. 45 minutes we waited and the burger was basically cremated, stale bun, thimble of coleslaw £16.5O and it really ought to be good, fish fingers also cold and overdone, very dry. We love the swan it's a great place to have in Stafford, and it won't stop us going, it's a shame to write this, but got to do better than this.

Right on the pedestrianized street and near restaurants, fast food and shopping. Train a station about 10 min walk down side of McDonald's.
Excellent food and service and a car park behind.
Will stay again when in the area

There appears to be an ongoing issue with extended wait times for food and beverages, which is creating a negative ambiance for customers. We were informed that a coffee would take approximately 20 minutes and two teacakes would require an additional hour. This is not an isolated incident, and the establishment did not appear to be particularly busy, suggesting a potential staffing problem. It would be beneficial for management to personally investigate the situation to identify and address the root cause, rather than simply observing from a distance.

I have Recently celebrated my wedding at the Swan Hotel, we booked the courtyard bar and had a lunch buffet with tea and coffee on arrival, all the communication leading up to the wedding was brilliant all my communications was through Katherine so thank you again for all your help, it was a lovely day. I would recommend staying at the hotel the rooms and food to a very high standard.

Lovely big rooms in the centre of Stafford.
Requested an early check in for a wedding, which they kindly provided free of charge.
Great setting, lovely old beams and the bar looked a great place to drink.
Great breakfast on Sunday morning.

I stayed a few nights here during my business trip and I loved it. I believe it is the best hotel you can stay in Stafford, value for money at best at the heart of town center.
My room was very cozy, heating was working fine during winter even though it was a bit loud during the night. The room seems that it is made of wood and stone, it gave me a vibe of a dark English town in winter.
What stood out for me at this hotel was their restaurant. On the first night they accommodated me with a great dinner, even when I arrived late and had no reservation made. Their glazed short Ribs with Guinness sauce and mustard mashed potatoes was a phenomenal dish. I also tried their creme brulee and one of their gin signature cocktails, again I was astonished. The service is also impeccable. For breakfast, you get to choose either a full English breakfast or eggs Benedict with various toppings, like smoked salmon or bacon. The breakfast plate is huge and very tasty, I'm honestly surprised this quality is served at a 3 star hotel, but oh well can't complain. There is also a small buffet for fruit, croissant, cereal and other similar food items.
I will most likely be visiting Stafford in the next upcoming months, and I am looking forward to stay here again and try another fabulous dinner at their cosy restaurant.

The best thing about the place was the breakfast in the morning.
The rooms weren't bad, but they were facing a busy drinking street that was terribly noisy until the early hours of the morning. The rooms were also extremely hot without much ventilation. The Wifi was choppy and the Chromecast never worked for me at all.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Right at the centre of the town. Friendly staff and helpful.
The room was quite big, very clean.
Fresh cooked breakfast was excellent.
Overall, we had a very positive experience.

Nice and refined place ideal to meet with friends for a meal or drink. Staff is very friendly and professional. I stopped recently for a small gathering and drinks in the bar but I have been in the restaurant before which is also very good.
