We were having huge difficulty with two sets of solicitors who seemed unable to complete on the purchase in the time required. The SRBS could not have been more helpful and it is probably true to say we would not have achieved the purchase if it had not been for the tenacity and flexibility shown by the SRBS team. I would call out Alison in particular who was outstanding.

Had an issue with a mortgage offer and having to change solicitors, it could have been a real headache but Alison Tarling on the mortgage administration team was on hand to do all she could to help with the situation, keeping constant communication throughout. I bought a property that was difficult to obtain lending, due to a mix of commercial and residence (3 acre site with campsite). I must say Stafford Railway were great, very straight forward and simple. The staff are really friendly, happy and I enjoy dealing them. Overall really great.(From someone with 25 yrs in the property business, dealing with hundreds of lenders, SRBS is certainly among the best of them).

Antiquated systems meant I had to wait quite a while for a decision only to be told the lender will not accept. Complete waste of time really. I went to one of their competitors and realised how slow and old Stafford Railway BS is, I managed to get an application and decision in 2 days. This place is probably okay if you go in, but if you do it over the phone/web then be prepared to speak for ages on the phone, send then printed letters with signature, poor communication, and an absolute age for a decision.
