Useless bank. Been with them for 11/12 years now. Worst open times imaginable. If you work all week, busy weekends but need a bank you can go into, these are not for you. I had a market stall and took in a £20 note and asked if I could swap it for change. They didn't have enough change in the building apparently. Suggested that I try another bank. Very conveniently, someone behind me had £30 in change they wanted to swap for noted so we just helped each other. They were also baffled to why the bank didn't have enough to change £20. If that is true, that that's absolutely shocking. And if you go in asking for a loan, it's genuinely like something off Little Britain. Few keys pressed just for a computer to more than likely say no straight away. The computer makes that decision, not an actual human. And it's also a massive pain when the line is out the door and there's only two people on the desk. Last time I went in, the screen behind the desk had statistic of customer surveys taken from numerous banks. Santander were at the bottom and had it on a big screen for everyone to see like it was a badge of honor. People not wanting to go to their banks are the reason why they're all disappearing from our streets. These are reasons why people don't go in or change banks. The staff are really nice and friendly but the overall just isn't worth signing up for unfortunately.

Pathetic, waited 45 mins on the phone to simply get my account unblocked, only to then be told I will need to go into a branch. What is the point of an online account opening facility if you then have to visit the branch to do anything with it?

This bank is disconnected from the reality of business owners, you call up, wait 30 mins to get through and then the person on the other end of the phone just asks for your date of birth as if its nothing informationI dont give my DOB to anybody, now I have to give it out to anybody working in a call centre who has access to other dataWHAT PLANET ARE YOU LIVING ON!YOU DONT ASK FOR DATE OF BIRTH AS PROOF OF IDENTITY FROM A BUSINESS OWNERIf you do not know why you dont, then contact a business owner and ask them why not!AS IT IS I AM NOT CUT OFF FROM ANY CONTACT WITH THIS BANK!

Santander Stafford Branch upset my mum by making it almost impossible to close the joint account with her recently deceased husband. They don't know what Customer Care is. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

Santander Stafford is a great branch, Helpful and polite staff, Always giving you advise on possible products to invest in, Without being too pushy,Does get busy at times. Just pick a time not so busy

Found customer service in here absolutely disgraceful - my original mortgage was terrible as I was mis-sold an endowment. Went into Stafford branch to discuss changing to repayment mortgage. They told me twice they?d ring me & neither time did they. I rang their general line twice & they also failed to ring me back both times even though they promised to. I had the sense to change who I have my mortgage with, this was 6 years ago & staff are so helpful - so thank God I left Santander.
