Had my MOT done there a while ago charged me over 800 for repairs. Only gone and took it to another garage for it to be under 300 huge rip off.

Booked my van for an MOT on halfords website. Arrived on the day of the test just to find out after 1 hour and 30 min that they can't do the MOT because the van is actually a class 7 vehicle. Why I haven't been told this when I've booked the MOT? What's the point of inputing my vehicle reg into your website if you can't tell me that you can't help me. Totally time wasters!! They send me over the road to National tyres to a guy who didn't want to be there whatsoever. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!

Reception closed so had to deal with National Tyres which, fortunately, was close by. National Tyres reception difficult to comprehend until a Halfords manager was involved. MOT took far too long

I sincerely suggest everyone avoid here. For your own good.
Last year Summer, I came here because my aircon is not working.
I told the guy I am not sure if it's broken or just run out the aircon gas. I would like them to check up first.
And when I picked up the car, they said they refilled the gas for me.
But in a month, all the aircon gas gone. I told them it definitely broken. I wanted them to check up again.
But he just re-fill the aircon gas again without check up, even it obviously broken. (Why? I will never understand this. )
He told me if it's all gone again. then he will do the check up and re-fill for me without charge.
This year spring time, I found aircon gas are all gone just after a winter. I came back to the shop, they told me that guy is not working here anymore, so they can't do anything for me.
I had to contact Halford customer service. Negotiate and waiting for so long. They told me another Halford- Stafford can help out to re-fill aircon gas for me. As long as I fixed my air con first.
So I went to other garage, changed a new aircon condenser to fix the problem and came back Halford for re-filling.
Halford told me, the aircon is stilling leaking.
So I spent another £72 asking a 30 years experience car aircon specialist to check up my aircon. And He told me, my aircon is all good.
So yeah, when my aircon broken, halford didn't find out.
When my aircon is all fixed. They told me it's broken.
Because their endlessly mis-diagnose, I had so much trouble.
Wasted so many time and money.
Well, at least, It taught me a lesson.
Don't trust google review. Ask your friends' recommendation.
And now I know where to go in the future.
If you don't know where to fix the car like me before, The Village Garage and the spear car garage are both very good.
My friends recommended them to me and they really helped me a lot.

Astounding incompetence. I booked my car in for an MOT and it failed, but they hadn't got time to fix the simple problem for over a week, leaving my family without a car. Disgraceful. The worst customer experience imaginable.

Had a great experience here. My first MOT since moving to Stafford, so it's great to know I can trust a local supplier.
They were very efficient and quick, and shout out to Rob on reception, who was very friendly and helpful, and gave good advice for my advisories, including where to go for hybrid servicing and repair.
Will definitely use again, and would recommend.

Have booked an air conditioning service for Saturday at 8:30. I arrived at the garage at 8:15 and the staff informed me that they don't have anyone trained to perform the service and must cancel the appoitmen (as I didn't want to go different Halfords garage on the other day). Is this some kind of joke? Couldn't you have sent me an SMS the day before with this information? I was a regular customer of Halfords but will no longer be and wouldn't recommend this garage to anyone
