This little village pub is seriously a hidden gem! What a change the new landlady and team have made to the place since my last visit a few years ago. From the selection of drinks & the delicious home made food to the most incredible service I received, I was honestly blown away! Well done team - can't wait to return.

This was clearly the unloved cousin of the 4 pubs in the village. The buildings were, by comparison, a bit ramshackle and in need of renovation. The place was mostly empty except for a small clutch of what I took to be regulars. The beer (Peroni) was almost flat. Still, a bright welcome from a charming bar person went a long way. I noticed a few games ready to play, and we'd clearly just missed Sunday food service.
I won't be rushing back but will go back, if only to try the Sunday roast.

Came as a big group for food outside - Zoe sorted us a table and everything was ready. The kids could go on the bouncy castle & there was a live singer.

We had booked a table for 4 on Friday 13th ! And had 4 excellent main meals at the Railway ! all the meals were fresh and hot we had excellent fish chips and mushy peas / a vegetable chilli and garlic bread and had chicken Alfredo which was really tasty and had so much chicken in it !
I had the sea bass and can honestly say it was the best I?ve ever had anywhere ! and it?s my go to usual choice so I?ve had this at different places .
The staff were really attentive also.
I gave 4 stars for atmosphere as the giant tv was on ? only showing a static picture but I think is unnecessary and the ladies toilets are very clean but look quite shabby paintwork wise and my husband said the gents were pretty awful also! It?s a shame as it?s off putting when the food is so good so hope management?s see this review ? but we will go back again as the food was great !

Went for lunch with my daughter and Grandson. Ordered drinks, a child?s meal of pizza, two adult meals of cheese/beans panini and tuna panini, sweet potatoes fries and mozzarella sticks with a chilli jam dip. Panini came with a lovely side salad, coleslaw and crisps. Absolutely gorgeous, chef even gave us a complimentary extra coleslaw as we loved it so much. Good variety on the menu and good prices. Lovely lady who served us, kind and helpful. First time here but will defo return again - well done to all !

I visited this establishment at night. It was a karaoke event. The pub was empty but for us and a few other customers. They do food but it was finished at three in the afternoon . The overall daycore was traditionally pub design, with a traditional bar were you can get drinks and other sundries. And due to it being in a village it was very quiet but homely with very friendly staff and people. Lots of parking but due to it being a village pub it's limited. It's a nice place to go if you are looking for some were quite and peaceful.

Fantastic Pub to hire out for a function, great food & service!
We hired the Railway?s function room for a buffet after our daughter?s Christening.
Zoe & her team were great from the moment I contacted them, providing an efficient & affordable service. All the food was made either fresh in the pub or sourced in for us giving us lots of choice!
Zoe even decorated the room for us & provided a bouncy castle for the children.
5 stars, thank you very much for giving us a special day

We have been going to this wonderful pub for a few years now, some times just my wife and I or sometimes as a family with the Grandchildren, magical well cooked food , great service and hosting, lovely garden when the weather is dry, well worth a visit, Well Done !

Went here yesterday for breakfast and was not disappointed. Great food and pricing also, friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back again for more breakfast and to try the main menu at some point as well!

Came here with all the family for Sunday lunch, food was lovely, good home cooked food. The kids loved the bouncy castle in the garden will definitely be back!
