4 of us eating. I ordered the Hanging Lamb and another in the party ordered the Salmon. These meals were terrible. The Lamb was tough, the potatoes were hard and the vegetables were just not good. The remaining meals were fair.
Lesson learnt. Great location, decent bar but avoid the food.
Such a pity that the Management couldn?t invest in a half decent Chef.

The staff were perfect, the food wait at over an hour was a little disappointing, steak and ale pie somehow the meat was very dry, pizza was bland and veg hard..They missed a meal in the kitchen too, personally would have knocked that off the bill considering it's only £4.50 to lessen the blow but no.. The price for food is a little more than the Chet and Swan with two necks but the food quality is less. Nice place to go for a pint but I'd leave the food ?

Explain the logic. I can order a sandwich and chips outside, but I cant order a burger and chips (which is still a sandwhich) because apparently its to heavy to bring outside. 2 pints are heavier then a burger, and youll happily bring that outside. Its like you want to loose customers

The food tasted fine but the next day I had terrible food poisoning. This was the only food I ate so I know it came from the pub. Such a shame.

The proof is that this is the only food that could have caused it that I've eaten in the time frame suggested by the NHS. I've added information direct from the NHS website which says you can show symptoms between hours and days of eating bad food. Plus I started to feel sick last night and then it got worse.

Disappointed after waiting an hour for food. Food was ok could of done with more veg and charged for extra gravy. Then needed our table

Horrible service, Staff were nice but the owner was horrible. Booked for a Christmas dinner and pre-ordered ended up waiting 2hrs and only had starters. The owner was horrible when any complaints were made. Overall generally horrible business

Food was good and the service was pleasant but slow.
The prices are surprisingly expensive,
The same quality of food is available for less elsewhere, and better food is available for the same money elsewhere.
Would I return? Maybe. It's OK but nothing special.
Parking: Focus on the basics and keep a very close eye on prices.

lovely atmosphere,however there was a snail in my salad! when telling the manager, she apologised and offered complimentary hot drinks. I don't really drink hot drinks I told her , she then said " well theres not a lot else I can do for you, other than apologies" I then had to pay the full amount for the meal I couldn't eat all of " . I would have liked some money knocked off the total bill, considering there was a snail in my food ?

Went here last week. Food is flavourless, stodgy but is piled up high. Assume most of the food is frozen / reheated with little freshly cooked. Similar to wetherspoons standard in my opinion but more expensive. Gordon Ramsey would not be happy.
And waitress had a bit of an attitude.
Wouldn't go again.

I?m putting a review on here purely based on their service, or lack of it. I?ve tried to book this place on multiple occasions and it takes way too long for them to confirm a booking. Needs to be better
