I visited 2/9 and used scan as you shop but on arrival at the till my shopping wouldn't load. I went through till 19 at 1606 and the lady was so friendly and helpful. She helped me load my shopping on and helped pack. I wasn't feeling too well and have a hidden disability so she made the experience very smooth and I didn't feel rushed. Amazing customer service, thankyou x

What a great store

Purchased approx. 20 items to find no checkouts open. Went to self service had two issues with my shopping while scanning, but the staff member was watching videos on their phone (you could hear it) so after calling out twice for assistance i finally got sorted. i then got told off for not taking my trolley back to the trolley bay. I'm not being funny but i wouldn't of put all the items in my trolley if i knew it was self service only and then, for being told off for not taking my trolley back is down right rude. Not sure what has happened here but there's plenty of people there and never any checkouts open. This was 1hour and 20mins prior to closing on Thursday the 25th of June. i will be buying whatever i can from elsewhere after this evening.

19/2/25 ~15:40 1 till open with a long queue, asked 2 staff to get another till open, was told 1 extra would open shortly, it wasn't, I very nearly abandoned my trolley with £160 worth goods in it, last week was also unacceptable too, not so bad but still poor attitude to loyal customers, time to try ocado!

This is the third time I've gone to buy fruit or meat and it's a few days out of date! The place needs a good revamp and a shakeup
Be sure to check the salads, too... they don't seem to be too hot on checking expiry dates
I know nothing about retail, but something drastic is needed. I would strongly recommend that the shopfloor is broken into sections and groups of shopfloor staff are assigned the responsibility for maintaining levels and following FIFO for stock rotation. I would adopt a 3 per day random audit check carried out by a supervisor to ensure shelves are well stocked and food is actually in-date. Trying to sell OOD food is appalling.
I would also encourage annual customer service training as staff would benefit from this to improve social awareness and customer experience.
My wife and I did always have confidence in the Tesco brand but this store has now motivated us to drive all the way to Litchfield and purchase our food from Waitrose. You pay a little more, but are met with everything that this store is not.

Refused a £50 note as it did not go through their machine at the petrol pump.. absolute joke. What is £50 now a days anyway? If you are employing 'cashiers' surely counterfeit training should be provided as a bare minimum. Not only that, they made me feel like I've done something wrong by handing them one.. like I'm some sort of criminal.

Tidy Tesco store. Well stocked and open until midnight every night except Sundays. Has a petrol station attached too. Just short walk from Rugeley town centre.

Nice big store easily accessed from south of Stafford.
Plenty of choice as well as selling plants and compost

Good parking - big store - pleasant staff

As a frequent shopper to Tesco Rugeley I cannot believe how poorly stocked the shelves are ! When I talk with staff the are so unhappy with the management and I have to agree. The front of store is always dirty with rubbish strewn around and there is a lack of presence from the store manager or senior managers
When the new Aldi opens in front of Tesco they will hurt Tesco more than you can imagine

Convenient store and friendly staff but stocks are awful. There is so much out of date food and rotting veg left on shelves. And now seemingly no bakery or fresh bread. This is an example of a superstore killing off local butchers and bakers by bringing the ?expertise? in store then binning them off once there is no local competition left. Forcing residents back to pre packed rubbish. This store will suffer badly when the new Aldi/lidl is built next door. For a short while at least.
