Yesterday was my 2nd visit to The Ash Tree and both my son and myself had drinks and lunch. The meal was delicious and the service excellent. The manageress was extremely helpful and very friendly. Because I wear hearing aids I found that the background music was making it difficult for me to have a conversation so asked if the volume could be reduced and they did so immediately. I will certainly be eating there again in the near future.

I have used this pub on and off for around 18 months. Tonight will be the last time. What I believe to be the manger is very rude. He is the tall overweight one. The very small skinny one is also very rude. There was one lad on tonight that was pleasant. However the manager was his usual rude self! The previous ladies that ran it/ worked there where very pleasant and nothing like the boys that work there now. £64ish for two meals from microwave masters that lack people skills is beyond a joke. We will be using the plum pudding from now on.

I took my family and aunt for Sunday lunch. Good as always but wanted to say a big thank you to Kim for going above and beyond with Reighn our daughter today when she was getting a bit distressed. ??

Came in for a meal on Monday. Lilly was great, she is a blessing to that place. Her customer service is amazing and her customer support was by far the best I have had in the last few months.

Had a fantastic experience today at the Ash Tree, my first visit in a few months due to previous experiences with poor management in the past, however what a great turn around! \n\nWe ordered at the bar and a young girl called Macey, who I believe was in her first shift was great, the manager Will that was training her was helpful when she needed it and let her go at her own pace, we ordered two roast dinners and they were fantastic! Even treated our self to a dessert because we didn?t want the day to end.

Dreadful food for the price. Mushrooms burnt and inedible. Chicken under cooked and inedible. Gammon chewy and even out dog wouldn?t touch so that says a lot. Egg over cooked steak medium and tough instead of rare \n\nPlace untidy. No red sauce bottles that were full on the tables all empty \n\nSupervisor scruffy as always. Wasn?t keen on his language as he went into the kitchen as they were ringing the bell. Maybe close the door first!!\n\nNot the first time it?s been awful. Well that?s the last £40+ you have from us. Well use one of the other lovely better places and will never return

My friends and I had a lovely meal at the ash tree last week. We have been before but was a bit dubious to come again after seeing some recent bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised, we had a young waitress serve our food (unfortunately didn?t catch her name) she was very polite and on the ball making us feel very welcome, she even made time to have a quick chat before rushing off to serve more food. The manager was also very polite and smiley safe to say we will definitely be returning.?

I don?t know what it was but something seemed wrong with this establishment. First of all there internet was bad so using the bar code to order meals would come off your airtime using 4-5g. We had an all in one credit card that says it?s acceptable at this establishment but it wasn?t. The staff didn?t look motivated, I noticed the one waiter took a meal outside then a minute later brought it back in again, rested the plates on the bar and spoke to the bar staff, then picked up the plates and went back outside, he didn?t return with the plates so he must?ve found the customers. Now for the food, it was edible but nothing to inspire people to eat there. To wrap up, the ash tree is not as good as it used to be!!

Lovely sunny evening out, wanted light bite and drinks, no light bites after 3pm or jacket Potato.\nFriend ended up having hunters chicken, presentation was awful, chicken dry, tasted processed, melted cheese tasyed microwave warmed, chips were nice. \nNo movement on lactose intolerance, apart from will leave it off for you. ??\nNothing to eat due to allergies of gluten free, so nothing to eat will have to go back home to cook.\nIf only they could of microwaved a jacket Potato with beans. \nManager, less than friendly. \nNo cutlery inside, so took some off an empty table, manager wasn't happy. \nOutside broken chairs and tables not cleared. \nThink we will try the plumb pudding insted. ????
