What a great local pub! The Red Lion has a wonderful community vibe, with super friendly staff and welcoming owners. The food is great, and there's a wide selection of drinks to choose from. The spacious pub garden is perfect for relaxing, and they?ve always got brilliant entertainment and street food vendors lined up. Well worth a visit?highly recommend!

Staff were really scruffy, outside smoking, no hygiene awareness after their finished their cig, toilets were absolutely rancid.

What an absolute amazing pub, staff are great, they support the community.

This is a lovely pub in a delightful little town, with very welcoming staff and real, home-cooked food! It appears to be well patronised by local people, which is always a good sign. It was a very welcome oasis after an exhausting, but satisfying day at Alton Towers. Many thanks.

Nothing fancy. But blimey the food was good! We'd been out all day cycling so we're hungry. If you want a decent burger, gammon steak etc. this is the place. Amazing portions, well cooked and presented. Great,
honest British pub food. Good value too! So many places are a rip off these days....

I travelled up from kent and spent a couple days in one of the villages around alton towers for my daughters birthday, if you're staying outside the theme park hotels or just looking to get away from it all... I 100% recommend the red lion! The food is next level (better than anything you'll get in any of the theme park restaurants) and the hospitality made us feel like we were locals as soon as we walked through the door. We'll definitely be stopping back in whenever we're in the area.

Went and had lunch there with family and cant fault the place. A warm welcome from the landlord followed by some amazing food prepared by the landlady. Lovely traditional pub, Highly recommend.
