Dropped in for Sunday Dinner, randomly as we were passing by, when we arrived at about 5:15 the barmaid said they were closing early (service usually ends at 6pm on a Sunday). It turned out the landlord had a family emergency to deal with. I thought fair enough and said no worries, we would go elsewhere. Anyway, the landlord insisted we stay and reopened the Carvery, it was lovely and the Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was nice and despite it being right at the end of service it still tasted fresh and delicious. The chef did us a fresh batch of Yorkies which were excellent.

We?ve just visited the Pigot Arms for the Sunday carvery and it was absolutely beautiful. Top quality meat and veg and excellent value for money. Great atmosphere too. Will definitely be going back!

The renaissance of the Pigot is a joy! After a fallow period, new ownership ? Mike ? has expressed total commitment to the success of our revered local: and has more than delivered on that promise! With customer experience at the heart of the Pigot?s re-energised values, the pub is wining well-deserved ?destination? status, as Mike and his excellent team continue to focus on food and drink quality, whilst delivering innovatory offers like locally sourced produce, imaginative twists on classic pub fare - and Pattingham?s first Carvery! The latter is a great idea, beautifully executed; the bar snacks, pizzas, curries etc are consistently great; and Friday fish night is one the best seafood events in the area (mackerel with horseradish on crumpets, gigantic haddock supper, dressed Grimsby crab to die for?). I mean, come on: all this in a charming, cozy pub in an idyllic setting ? life enhancing stuff!

My wife and I ate at The Pigot 3 weeks ago and we each had a Sunday roast. Very tasty, nicely cooked and reasonably priced. We decided to book for a family meal last Sunday and it turned out to be the first carvery to be served. Had a choice of meats and plenty of veg. All properly cooked and very tasty. Again, very reasonably priced.
Will definitely return!

We were a large group who had pre ordered food but still had to wait over an hour for food to arrive, only 1 barmaid on who was doing drinks, taking food orders on tables and serving the food only calm person there. Food was ok the pie was good but the small fries not hot.
